In a continuing trend for new home builders, L. M. Sandler and Sons, Inc missed the June tax deadline in Virginia Beach.  The company now owes Virginia Beach over $558,000 in back real estate taxes.  The city Treasurer, John Atkinson is not worried.  Everyone has the right to be late and they will be charged the late fees.

The company bills itself as the largest privately owned developers of master planned communites in the country.  Along with missing tax schedules, the company is also scaling back on projects up and down the east coast.  Maybe the Sandler company will see the light and sell the Indigo Dunes property it has to the city, if the city would open its eyes and purchase the property.

i think it would help reduce their risk by negotiating to get out of owning pleasure house point so they can concentrate on other projects that have a better shot of being completed and making them money in the future.

They own a lot of property in Virginia Beach and they actually owe taxes in other cities around here as well.
