"I don't think it is a good idea to sell your house with the help of a real estate agent. They don't add the value comparable with their price. Because of this FSBO sites are better then agents. And most of them suggest all that stuff like real estate forms free of charge. For example some may find them at http://www.fizber.com/real-estate-forms.htm"

I don't know about the rest of ya'll but I find it rather amusing that Mr.Fizber.com and his gang (yes, there's plenty of profile's just like his: no blog, no profile, no photo and all in small towns nobody has ever heard of) come here and post in Realtors' blogs trying to convince readers that it's better to sell without an agent or that agent's don't bring any value to the table. I'm wondering......is that slander?

I realize, this is a free county and I'm not scared that Mr.Fizber and his gang is going to take any business from us hard working Realtors. After all, we all know that most FSBO's end up listing and selling with an agent anyway, Fizber or not.

I don't think that opinions like that rise to the level of slander -- stupidity maybe, but not slander.

He is entitled to his opinion of course but people or companies like his actually are hurting sellers more than he is helping by offering bad advice and not knowing the market in each area like we do.  Maybe he is just what we need to help increase our business when FSBO's realize selling on their own is not as easy as they were led to believe.

Slander is "speech", Libel is "words".

Only libel if it is an untrue statement about YOU.

Since I'm speaking about law, I'll let you know I'm not an attorney and you shouldn't rely on my legal opinions.

Wow.  I checked the link out.  They are selling "one size fits all" legal forms, like disclosures, contracts and deeds, apparently without adaptation for state law.  Seems they feel they can dispense with Realtors and attorneys.  Scary.

It's a SPAM SCAM HIJACK post Andrea.  Ticks me off when someone disquices a post that's really nothing more than a hijack advertisement.  IF they were an honest outfit or poster...then WHY do they "hide" behind fake post names and don't have a Membership with a link etc.
