Incorporated in 1754, The City of Somersworth is known as a border town. Bordered by Dover NH, Rollinsford NH, and Berwick Maine, Somersworth has a rich history based on it's use of the Salmon Falls River for it's manufacturing of textiles, cotton, and etc... It's mills were used for textiles, a bleachery, and dye works. For recreation, the workers of the mills were able to use the amusement park along Willand Pond, remnants of the amusment park still exist today.

With a close proximity to Boston Mass, only 1 hour south, and Portland Maine, only 1 hour north, Somersworth sets it's self as a great commuter location. Surrounding towns, Dover NH, Rollinsford NH, and Berwick ME, along with Somersworth offer an unparalleled variety of professional and recreational opportunities.
Visitors to the area often become captivated by the variety and range of architectural styles found. Ranging from it's historic brick mill buildings, to it's Victorian architecture, and mission style colonials, there is a little bit of everyone's style here.

Bill,
What a nice post. The median price home in Somersworth is about the same as it is in my town, but our median income is about half! Somersworth sounds like a very nice place to hang your hat.
