Last week I had a chance to be in Rockford on Tuesday in the early evening hours. I myself have been taking Yoga classes and Tuesday is my night and I have been missing the Blues on the River. I need to figure out how to clone myself to be in two places at the same time. There are many events that are worth a trip to Rockford that can save you some gas as well. Strolling on the white pine trail into Rockford is my favorite.

You need to check this out the Blues on the River before the white stuff comes for a stay. It is still Rockford, Michigan you know. Come early bring your lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy the free music with such a community flair. Or grab some famous dogs at my favorite spot The Corner Bar and pick a picnic table and relax. Not to mention other great places to eat such as, Reds on the River and maybe even an ice cream treat or two for desert.

You can even stroll some of the unique Rockford shopping places. The stores are always filled with cute trinkets and unique items for home, personal or any gift giving need. The kids love to visit Aunt Candy's Toy Company, filled with educational toys to Webkinz.

The Dam is so pretty this year as well. The work that has gone into it is unbelieve. You can't find a bad spot to stand, sit, read, relax and enjoy the great summer evenings.

I ran out of room on my camera for all the great pictures.  The flowers that are all around the dam are just beautiful. I wish my garden was as well kept and clean.

I believe Rockford to be very proud of the commuity and it shows. I also feel very blessed to have such a great place for kids to experience, friends to meet and grow with and family to share with.

  There are so many great places to stroll! You will find like I did that you need a whole day here!  I even live in Rockford and find I can't see it all in a evening, but it sure was a great time before the sun went down!
