A Star Is Born!

July 27th at 7 pm, I recieved the call.  "It's Time!"  Anna has gone into labor and we are at the hospital. You can go in through the main entrance."  I got a bit excited and I admit I did question, will I be a good coach?  I want to be..I took a class...had my own kids..this is going to be a piece of cake at least I hope.

When I arrived at the hospital I ran right into dad, didn't greet me just pulled me into Anna's room. 

I saw relief in his face and gratitude immediately...I took a deep breath and went into the room. 

Anna's husband is a tough guy..but not when it comes to his wife. 

Anna's mom was there with Anna and her pregnant sister..yes in a few months..grandma would have not one grandbaby but two.

Both spoke russian, it didn't matter...because I could read the eyes and they could read mine....and all of us were comforted to be together and somehow we all managed to communicate. 

By 9:30 Baby Addan was in our world..screaming..pink and a head full of hair. Watching a child being born was an amazing thing...something that has forever changed my life. 

I personally experienced the tears of joy...of relief and of promise..a promise for a better world and a brighter world at that. 

When the delivery was complete..I was amazed how two woman from different world's were able to communicate with not understanding one another..Without words..but gestures..and there is no doubt..our words came from the eyes. 

We hugged one another and cried...its was the first time I met Ana's mother..imagine that...no words exchanged..and the two of us coached her through child birth.  glitter-graphics.com

Addan (a biblical name) weighed in at 8 lbs. and 9 ozs. a future football player or maybe a doctor or scientist..he is our future...and with the parents that he has...and the love that he will experience there is no doubt..baby boy Addan will shine bright and grow up to be a star. 

I always thought being a real estate trainer was the most rewarding job I would ever have in my lifetime but sometimes I forget..the dirty diapers...nurturing and loving my children..now that is what life is about!  I have to give motherhood a lot of credit..builds character...patience and understanding but most of all creates tremendous amounts of love! 

July 27th...A star was born!

Might as well give up he is your captor, your jailer, your boss and your master a freckled-faced, pint-sized, cat-chasing bundle of noise.
