I was chipping in the backyard this afternoon.  I was having a small fire as well.

It was a nice afternoon.

Anyway, I think I learned something about my golfswing today.

While chipping with my lobwedge, I tried to take the club far to the outside.

To me, it felt very unusual.

Perhaps to the observer...

Anyway, I hit almost every chip perfect.

My full swing felt on plane and very powerful.

Am I onto something???

Or is it just another false hope???

I have always taken my club to the outside when chipping with any club from a pitching wedge and higher.

Extreme outside? I may have to try that.

NICE, MAYBE YOU ARE ON TO SOMETHING.  KEEPING TRYING IT FOR YOU, IF IT IMPROVES YOUR GAME... THEN IT WORKS FOR YOU.  THEN PATENET IT,,, LOL.  SOUNDS LIKE A FUN AFTERNOON.  I WOKE UP AT 3:30 THIS MORNING TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME PARADE, THEN SWIMING ALL DAY AFTER THAT, ALMOST TIME TO GO TO THE HALL OF FAME FIREWORKS SHOW.  ENJOY YOUR FIRE, AND KEEP TRYING THE NEW WEDGE SWING.

I definitly need to work on my golf swing some more, unfortunatly I hardly get to play anymore :-( I either end up working or it rains when I actually get a chance to even get a few swings in in the backyard... I still want to put in my 3 hole course though lol

See! That's how you can spend your time now. AR blogging lets you set back and wait for the phone to ring. Just so its not during my back swing.

Hope it works on the course -- that'll be the test.  But remember, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh!

I haven't picked up a club since last fall. I'm sure when I do the results will be scary!

Hey Ken,

When I go golfing, people tell me I have a nice swing.  A nice BASEBALL swing.  Ha!

Ken- I never thought about it as a possible tax write off :-\. Although most of my clients who are into golf actually live on golf courses, with lifetime memberships... several actually have treated me to a round or 2 :-D

Morning Ken,

Great that you had a productive afternoon. If it works for you keep it and work on it to refinement.

Ken: when I lose my swing, I always go back to the basics...chipping. start small and work my way back up. start doing the lob shots, then the progress to the 7-9 irons then the 3 wood, then the driver.   I love golf too...

Ken,  I found a video on the perfect golf swing.  Check it out.

Technique is the key.  Practice that swing.. get the technique down... and swing the same way every time... now... if you figure out how to do that.. please let me know.. lol   I find that my swing is far from perfect; that I tend to come up with a variation of my swing; and I never know what game will surface each time I play.  It's a frustrating game... but very addictive!

Play a round yesterday and my chipping was awful, might be necessary to give that a try!
