Steveston is a historic fishing village and and a popular tourist destination because of its rich heritage character and many interesting places for tourists to visit.

Post-war Steveston developed along with Richmond into a residential suburb for Vancouver as farmland was converted to housing. Since the 1970s the community, which remains an active fishing port, has developed its heritage character and its waterfront to attract business and tourism.

Steveston offers great shopping and ambiance!    My favorite store...LOFTY LIVING Furniture Co.  It's a downtown store in the Village with great pricing on custom furniture and amazing home/personal accessories. There's always something big or little to take home.

Steveston is a great place to meet a friend for lunch, a glass of wine, a walk, or to spend the day with the family wandering around.  There is something for everyone to enjoy!

It's true that Steveston is a very unique. It has a rich and colorful history and many of Steveston's heritage buildings remain and open to visitors around the year. The yearly salmon festival continues to be a big  Richmond and Steveton event every summer.
