Hi all!

Any other Labrador Retriever lovers around?

This is my puppy Henna. She is 8 months old and having her has been a wonderful experience. I was affraid it was going to be tough all the training and avoiding her to chew my house, but against all I read and heard, it has been really easy. She only had a couple of "accidents" in the house when I got her at 12 weeks old. After 2 weeks she would come to me to let me know she needed to get outside. I took her to her kindergarden classes so she would get more socialized. After that we took some basic obedience classes in Newtown and she is doing great.

I couldn't take her with me to my appointments during the summer so I would leave her at her crate at home, and at the end of the day we would go and find new places to explore. She loves to swim and is doing really great.

Any other Lab lovers around? Where do you take your dog to swim? Any good dog parks in your area?

I have taken her to Southbury, Ridgefield, Redding and Norwalk so far and we are having fun.

Hi, Nestor.  I have a miniature schnauzer who has helped me with my real estate advertising.  I once put an ad in a quilter's newsletter which goes out to about 150 women in my sphere of influence.  It was a picture of Merlin as a puppy sitting on the beach.  The copy read, "Merlin loves his new home in Rehoboth!  If you know someone who would like to live in Coastal Delaware, contact Merlin's mom," followed by contact information.

Hi Nestor, love the photos, so cute!  Labs are great dogs, smart and so loyal.  Sounds like you two have a bunch of fun to look forward to.

Nestor - Love your girl!

Dianne - I too have a miniture schnauzer. She is a flashy black and white fantom.

My yorkie died of cancer recently at the young age of 9. She would love to go swimming...I guess she thought she was a lab!

I don't know of any dog parks here in my town...hmm that just occured to me! We need one!

Labs are always great dogs.  My ex had a Lab/German Shepard mix, which really was a great mixture!

Thank you guys!!

I love most breeds and mixes... Schnauzers look very elegant (in all sizes ... ).  I am sure Merlin is a great poster boy :)  Goldens are also so beautiful too!!

Isn't it amazing how much pets can bring the best in people? I am so happy to see that when I am walking Henna in different towns people tend to be friendlier and nicer and sometimes there is a chance to start a conversation and hand out a business card !!!

This is the perfect job to be able to have a puppy!!! I am doing BPOs, so I just take her with me to take pictures. If they are interior BPOs I obviusly leave her in the car if the day is not too hot.

A biscuit for Bela, Jillie and Merlin.

Debbie, what is a virtual lab?

Have a good evening everyone!!

Nestor-Your puppy is absolutely ADORABLE!  I had a chocolate Lab named Cleo and she was the BEST dog I ever had!  We had to put her down when she was 9 as she had liver cancer...one of the hardest days of my life.  Have fun with her.

Thank you Laura.

I am sorry for your loss. Why is it that we see more cases of diseases now? Is it because we have better tests, or maybe the food?

My personal trainer, as I called her now, is full of life and and energy and always brings a smile to my face.

Thanks for stopping by.
