La Costa Greens, located in the area of South Carlsbad known as La Costa (home of the world famous La Costa Spa and Resort), is one of the three communities in the La Costa Villages - La Costa Oaks and La Costa Ridge (the newest) being the other two.
Located on the hills of La Costa, with views of the ocean, golf course (the North Course at La Costa) and surrounding hillsides, La Costa Greens is still under construction, although the majority of the homes are built and many are now occupied.

As a Master planned Community, La Costa Greens offers a number of amenities that residents attracted to these types of neighborhoods have come to expect. There is a tennis center, tot lots, and a wonderful private residents' facility, The Presidio (photo on right), which offers swimming, an expansive club house, and fully-equipped exercise facility. Nearby is a 1000 acre open space, the La Costa Preserve.
Residents have easy access to other amenities in the area, including golf at La Costa Spa and Resort and the Four Seasons Aviara Resort, gorgeous Carlsbad beaches, tons of shopping along El Camino Real just a mile away, and a number of other tourist attractions.

Housing in La Costa Greens is varied, and starts in the $800s and ranges up to about $1.5 million. Some homes have spectacular views of the ocean and panorama, and several of the neighborhoods are gated. There are only a handful of homes for sale at the moment with some still under construction. You may also find some resales, although the community is new enough that these are very rare.
La Costa Greens consists of 6 different villages, developed by 4 different well-known area builders (e.g., John Laing, Warmington), so there is a range of styles, floor plans, upgrades, and sizes: typically 2700 SF and up to around 4900, 3-5 bedrooms, 2.5-4.5 baths. The villages are Balearas, Cordelane, Isla Vista, Castlemar, Villareal, and Trieste (not built yet - on the west side of the golf course).
