Cher's Malibu Estate is listed For Sale - "Los Angeles Celebrity Real Estate"

Cher's famous Italian Renaissance-Style Malibu Estate is For Sale.

The Combined LA/Westside MLS indicates that the 13,126 sq ft house has been listed for $45,000,000.

The property - featuring 6 Bedrooms and 7 Bathrooms, a theatre, a gym, infinity pool &, tennis court - is set on 1.72 acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Cher also owns a condo in the celebrity-filled "Sierra Towers", situated on 9255 Doheny Road in West Hollywood (adjacent to Beverly Hills). Joan Collins recently purchased a 2100 sq ft condo in the same building for $2.7 Million.

It must be nice!

45 M seems a bit steep, over $3,400 P/S/F

But...Let's face it having had Cher as a prior owner/occupant probably doubles the value! People love celebrities and Cher certainly has paid her dues and has passed the test of time. She is a legend.

The property is situated on prime land in Malibu, which includes some of the most expensive properties in Southern California.

Stewart.. Even though the home sits on over an acre of property, the house takes up a good portion of that. I agree with Mott, it seems a bit on the high side... prime land or not in Malibu. It will only sell for what the market will pay.

Impressive house in a great location: Malibu oceanfront property. Cher recently sold one of her homes here in Palm Springs for just under 2 million. Too bad I don't have a client at this time in that price range.

Stewart: What an incredible piece of real estate. Perhaps for an open house maybe Cher could put on a live concert right on the property. It would easily be the most attended open house in the history of real estate. Thanks for sharing.

9/5/08 - It's rumored that there are currently negotiations on Cher's Malibu property .... and that the property could be sold for around $40 Million. Celebrity gossip .... media rumors ... who knows!

Stewart-Italian Renaissance is one of my favorite architectural styles...too bad this estates price tag is beyond my pocketbooks comprehension!

Secondly , I am sure that Cher is savvy enough to know when to close the deal to create a win-win situation. Keep us up to date !

Now I wonder why Cher didn't give me a call when she was ready to list? I'm a BIG fan!!

After 271 days on the market, the property was withdrawn last month ..... unsold!
