You Know You're a Redneck Realtor When......LOL!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Greenville Central

Ok first I preface this with saying I"m from Kentucky. I am NOT a Redneck..I am however a bona fide HILLBILLY and yes there is a difference.  When competing for a local Miss America pageant in college one of the judges asked me the first thing I did when I got home. I answered "Well I am from KY! I take my shoes off of course!" I got 2nd.......

Now I"ve lived all over the world but here in Greenville SC there are some pretty amazing sayings ...

You know you're a REDNECK realtor when you refer to that thing that waters your garden as a HOSE PIPE! That one took me a while to catch on to.

You know you're a REDNECK realtor when you're at a listing appointment and the sellers children are running wild and the seller just grins and says "They're WIDE OPEN !" ..something to do with NASCAR.

You'll really know you're client is a REDNECK if this is hanging on the wall!!

You know you're a REDNECK realtor when your client can't tell the difference in the following words in your vocabulary. Pen, Pan and Pin....oh my it's fun.

And You'll REALLY know you're a REDNECK realtor and your client is too if this is their idea of a country mansion!

And you'll appreciate this lovely video of Redneck Realtor listings. Copy and Paste and  ....Enjoy!

I eally enjoy redneck jokes. Sorry if it's not polotically correct, but i was born in KY AND LIVED THERE 30 YEARS. Fortunately now that I live in the west most customers tag me as TX when the first words come out of my mouth. I think they just can't fathom someone from KY would make it all the way to CA. Beverly Hillbillies ta know!

Even though this originated somewhere in Texas, I was at a Kiwanis Camp Ground this weekend celebrating New Brunswick Day this Monday.  It's called "Tossing Washers" similar to tossing horseshoes.  It has a 12 feet string (not in photo) between each wooden box and has a point system similar to a "Bullseye".  The center cup has 2 points and if it's in the square box you get 1 point. Each team gets 3 tosses and you sum the total of the ringers and the differences in the points between the two teams is the total points for the round.  The first team with 21 points wins!

These guys had regular 3" washers and had homemade boxes with a regular cup.  A lot of points are scored early, with point reduction dropping substantially with each drink.  It was fun watching them and noticing the differences.  ;>)

Ann-Marie, that sounds like it just might be a lot of fun, drinking or not. I can see my little minions really getting into it! They throw DVDs at each other like they're flying Frisbees. My kids are crazy! They would really go for something simple like that (LOL).

Bwahahahaha.  Holly, I swear, one of my neighbors where I used to live here in Maine, has one of those Deer Rears on their wall.

Where on earth did you find a picture of an aerial trailer park?  And why would someone do that?  Hmmm....
