Hi Missy...It's great that Ann Arbor is working to help our environment.  Of course it is a university town which might have something to do with the thinking there.

Missy, I love libraries.  I don't visit mine as often as I did when my children were younger but I still like to go.  You appear to have a lot of libraries in Ann Arbor and in my books that is a good thing!!

I love to hear about buildings that are environmentally friendly; it goes beyond the fad/hype/green talk and sets a great example for others to follow.

Our libraries work because they are well located and the technology is fantastic.  Reserve your favorite DVD online and stop by to pick up.  Books, cd of course are also available.  Great topic.

Even before ‘going green’ became an industry priority, in 1868, Amorim, the world leader in cork products, made it a priority that no part of this precious tree ever be wasted.

Sheathes of cork oak that are not used in bottle stopper production are used as planks for Wicanders flooring. Smaller sheathes, split planks, cork pieces, and even cork dust, are used in the production of agglomerated cork products such as insulation and are even burned as fuel to power the manufacturing process.
