I was browsing through the Reader's Digest and came across this blog about all these great pets.

I particulary like the one called "An Eye on You"

Here is part of it.
Cashew, my 14-year-old yellow Lab, is blind and deaf. Her best friend is Libby, 7, her seeing-eye cat. Libby steers Cashew away from obstacles and leads her to her food. Every night she sleeps next to her.

Jeff, nice post - thanks for sharing. I liked the one about the calf stopping the person from stepping on the snake. Its amazing how he knew that could be harmful.

I like that one as well. It is so weird that people think animals are dumb. Hopefully this inspires them to change a bit.

What a sweet story. I have pets and I know they are not just dumb animals. The only dumb animals are the humans that think that way. Pets often do heroic things in addition to keeping us silly humans company. Thanks for sharing! Great post!
