There are a few neighborhoods adjacent to Highlands Ranch that offer some confusions at times.  question mark

One of these, is Province Center.

It is very confusing because if you were only to look at a map, it does appear that it is in Highlands Ranch, but that is not the case.  Province Center is in fact not a part of Highlands Ranch and is instead considered Littleton, CO as far as a mailing address goes.  On this same site, Localism.com - you will find Province Center also listed in Littleton, CO for mailing addresses purposes.

I have run into several people over the years that have attested to the fact that they too were under the impression at one point or another that Province Center was a part of Highlands Ranch.

Its important to know either way - some people want to live truly "inside" of Highlands Ranch and some people don't.  Either way, folks really need to understand what is what & what it may or may not be a part of.

Province Center is in unincorporated Douglas County. It does appear on a map to be in Highlands Ranch as it is south of County Line Rd., but it is not - its a small pocket that is not inclusive of the Highlands Ranch boundaries.

Province Center does not belong to the HOA of Highlands Ranch.

Province Center homeowners do not pay HOA fees to HRCA (Highlands Ranch) and they do not get "free" access to the HRCA Recreation Centers. Province Center residents can register for some HRCA activities if guests fees are available, but you should talk to the HRCA about this before making assumptions.

Province Center does have its own HOA & residents have access to the South Suburban Rec Centers and facilities (SSPRD) and in-resident fees do apply.

Province Center's two parks - Puma Park and Province Center Park are nicely maintained by South Suburban Parks & Rec (SSPRD) - not the Highlands Ranch Metro Districts (HRMD).

Province Center is in Douglas County like Highlands Ranch, and children of Province Center do of course attend Douglas County Schools - in fact the elementary school for Province Center is Cougar Run in Highlands Ranch.

Another area that shares similar confusion is Wildcat Ridge - again - not in Highlands Ranch.
