Having a sauna in your home is not only good for your health but it also makes the value of your home rise. A regular sauna can improve your health. If you have one at home, you will have more time to enjoy it as going to the gym/spa are not always possible. A sauna is an enjoyable and healthy thing to have. It does not take up as much space as you might think and in the long run it can help cutting costs of gym fees if you have a sauna at your own home.

Consider where you would like your sauna, indoors or outdoors. Indoor saunas can be used in any weather and are easier connect to water and electricity than outdoor saunas.

Remember to plan where you are going to change clothes before and after saunas. A changing or relaxing area will help you enjoy your sauna much more.

There are different types of saunas, traditional- and infrared saunas. Traditional saunas are heated with electricity, wood burning or gas stoves. Different warm up times comes with each type of sauna and also depends on the size of the sauna. A stove sauna heats rocks and you can pour water on the hot rocks to create as much steam to your liking.

Infrared saunas use infrared waves to heat your body. It is a dry sauna and does not produce steam. Infrared saunas does not get as hot as traditional saunas, witch can provide more comfort for some people. The infrared waves penetrate deeper into your skin than the steam of a traditional sauna and has virtually no warm up time.
