"Dubby," as we know him is the first of what we consider upper management to follow Scott Bender to Hidden Valley. We don't think he will be the last. For those of you who don't know, when Scott was promoted from the marketing department at Seven Springs Robert took over his position.
He loves biking and has been instrumental in snagging the Nationally recognized races held at Seven Springs over the recent years. The 24 hour race that's held over Labor Day weekend was one of his brainstorms. He even has his own timing equipment for the races.
So let's talk about marketing and public relations. These two fellows have data bases that are filled with everyone who is anyone in the resort or public relation industry. Their connections are infinite. We've always subscribed to, "It's not who you know, it's who knows you that really counts," and they are very well known in the industry and NOT just in PA.
The Nuttings began this "trading" process when they lured Mike Mohr from Nemacolin to take over their sorting clays complex. Now the Buncher group is looking at Seven Springs they way 7 Srings have been eyeing up Nemacolin.
Now let's talk about employees. We've talked about this before and we will continue to do so as it is our strong belief that the employee pool is going to be maxed out. Our two "big" towns, Somerset and Mount Pleasant are easily 20 minutes away and you won't find any public transportation here. Employee housing is going to be instrumental in attracting and retaining happy, competent, people!
Let's talk customers! We hope that somewhere in the mix the average southwestern Pennsylvanian who has contributed many green backs to the growth of Seven Springs will still find a place to have affordable family fun!! It may eventually be at Hidden Valley!
