Picture of Real Estate Agent: Randy L. Prothero - Hawaii REALTOR® (Century 21 Liberty Homes)

...but I did manage to hit the 10,000 point mark today!  Wow, that seemed so far off a few months ago and here I am today. I would like to thank everyone who has posted blogs that I commented on, my husband for letting me know when it was 2 o'clock in the morning and suggesting that I can get back on the computer in the morning, and my dogs for entertaining the kids in the evening which allows me some free time to surf AR.  In summary, I like Active Rain!  I really like Active Rain! (OK, that was a bad Sally Fields impression.) So I will continue to stay up too late and enter that twilight zone that envelopes you and speeds up time while on the Active Rain website.

I look forward to "meeting" more people, referring business as I can and learning a lot more from all of you on the site. This really is one of the best real estate sites that I have found and I'm sure that it will only get better.

I wish you all a great night!

Aloha Libby - I was surprised when I logged in and saw my name.  When I joined I thought 10,000 points was like climbing a mountain.  They start slow and keep coming faster each month.  Good luck, I look forward to reading your posts.

Congrats Libby! I'm striving for the 10k mark myself - hopefully I'll make it in time for the land rush!

10,000 points is quite a milestone.  Congratulations! I am setting aside time to write every day. The emails we receive from Active Rain are great reminders that it is time to read and write.  I have learned a lot from many of the Active Rain Posts.

What is impressive is that you have earned you 10k status based on comments, and very few posts.

Congratulations and good job working steadily at 25 points at a time.

BTW, to post a link.

The simplist was is to open the browser with the post you want linked. Copy the address line. Come back to you post and paste the copied address.

I find it easier to open up a second Active Rain browser so that the linked post can be be copied and pasted with fewer clicks.

It will look like this

http://activerain.com/blogsview/618987/Where-Did-the-Graphic

You can get more technical and add a link to other text or to an image, but this method is simple for a start.

Your success with commenting has earned you a bunch of associates.

Well done. I look forward to reading more from your posts.

Randy - Aloha!  I just had to post after I saw yours. Wow!!! I wish that Richard had told me how to add the link to my post earlier! :) Congrats on your 400K!

Bobby - Blog, blog, blog!  You have two days left to get your points in! Good luck!

Lou - Thanks for the encouragement. I look forward to seeing your 20K post as you are almost there!

Sharon - I don't make it on every day but I try to get on at least 4 or 5 days a week, If I could, I would live on here!

Richard -  Better late than never!  I really appreciate your helpfulness. As you can probably tell, I wanted to link to Randy's 400K post but wasn't quite sure how. Thanks for the tip and I may call on you again for help in the future!

Jim - I hope that I will be at 20K before I know it as that will mean that I got a chance to spend a lot of time on AR.

Marie - You will get there! Remember, you get 10% of my points for referring me! Now that you know what this place is all about, you will be racking up the points!

Libby, Aloha from Kauai...

I linked over to you while reading Randy Prothero's post. Keep up the good work. Here on the little island of Kauai, where the highest AR member is around 22k, Randy seems like he's in da stratosphere. What's YOUR secret to getting so many comments? What areas of AR seem to produce the most community resonance or can you say?

Pamela - Thanks for stopping by and for the encouragement!

Ronnie - I am still trying to figure AR out myself. Some posts get a lot of comments and some that seem really interesting get very few. I'm not sure if timing plays a role as well, but I think it may initially and then when people see that a lot of comments have been made, they check out the post. Just my theory!
