Announcement! Whole Foods is coming to Wellington Florida.

Ground has been broken! Finally we won't have to drive for 30 minutes to get to a Whole Foods. Right now we either have to drive to Palm Beach Gardens or to Glades Road In Boca Raton.

Whole Foods Wellington FLorida

Whole foods is my favorite place to shop for most all my organic and natural foods, produce and yummy hot food items and salad bar delights. They also have the best prices for Tom's Toothpaste, Kava Kava and bulk Basmati Long Grain Brown rice which asbsolutely tastes delicious. Organic popcorn can be bought for a great price in bulk too. We love to air pop the popcorn. We can sure tell the difference between the organic popcorn and non organic popcorn. It is a healthy snack as long as you don't pop it in the microwave!

Whole Foods Wellington FLorida

Once Whole Foods is built here when Nestor asks me where do I want to go out to dinner- I will surely say, Whole Foods. They have so many wonderful and exotic menu items from all around the world with all sorts of delightful spices and all natural flavors.

I enjoy getting all these tasteful treats on a plate and then sit in the cafe area of Whole Foods and just enjoy each and every bite! I am getting hungry just thinking about it!

Whole Foods is being built on State Rd 7/441 on an outparcel of the Wellington Green Mall. The scheduled opening is for 2009.

I'm spoiled... there is a Whole Foods less than a mile from my home and another one that is 3-4 blocks from my office.  It certainly makes eating healthier easy to do! :)

Oh I love whole foods and can't imagine having to drive more than 5 or 10 minutes to get there. :)

Your blog on here looks great! Love the new picture.

Congratulations on the new Whole Foods!  I LOVE Whole Foods & luckily have one within a mile of my house.  Not sure if they'll have it at your store or not, but the one by me just opened an Asian bar as part of the hot prepared foods and they serve things like Orange Chicken & Stir Fry......I guess I know what I'm eating for dinner tonight:)

Nestor and Katerina,

Whole Foods?  Spokane doesn't have one, but when I lived in Seattle we called it Whole Paycheck. :)  Spendy, but darn good!

Well I'm jealous! How about seeing if they have any plans on coming to North Carolina. We have some Trader Joe's in Charlotte (they have mostly organic foods but no restaurant). Would love to see one come our way.

Trader Joes has better prices though--- wish they'd get the restaurant area. I was really disappointed with how quickly the price went up in our local stores once Whole Foods bought out what had been Wild OAts!

Whole Foods' flagship store is in downtown Austin - it is huge!  If you ever visit, we can go to lunch there together.

Hi Katerina - You lucky dog! I love Whole Foods. There is no question that organic tastes so much better.

Jason- I am  sure that the flagship store is just amazing in Austin. There was another store in Houston that I just loved that I think is only in Texas. It has a Spanish name and was huge with tons of local vegis and lots of tropical  fruits like mangos and papayas, etc. It was like a huge International store with imports from all over the world. Do you have one of those in Austin too?

I will go to lunch at Whole Foods with you, when I come to Austin.

Katerina, just be careful of the frozen organic vegetables, many of which are grown and imported from China!  Still, I do love Whole Foods!  Almost as much as Trader Joe's!

Patricia Kennedy- I always check my labels. Just because something is organic does not mean it is good for you. We don't have Trader Joe's here.

Nishika- The Whole Foods that we currently have to drive to in Boca Raton does have the Asian Bar, it also has some of the best soups I have ever tasted. The only soup better than Whole Foods is the African/Mediterranean Restaruant in Disney at the Animal Kingdom Hotel; which has the best food in the world there.

Casey- Once I discovered Whole Foods there was no going back:) It is not that much more if you don't buy junk food. We get better prices there for all our bulk foods and Whole Foods brand foods. I think their presentation is so good that we all just spend more money there because they make it such a pleasure to shop there. :)

Laura- We don't have a Trader Joe's here. When I lived in CA they didn't have them there either. I have heard great things about them.

I will admit that I have a weakness for Whole Foods - although my FAVORITE is Trader Joes - less money - similar fare.  But they aren't good for produce. If I can't get to the farmer's market I use WF for my fresh fruits and vegies.  Since my father's cancer diagnosis - I feel it is money well spent!

Katerina-I had been wondering for months what was going in that shopping center and I saw the sign the other day for Whole Foods. How exciting! We'll be better than PGA soon! See you there (when I'm not working, of course)!

Ruthmarie- You are exactly on the right track. Cancer does not like organic produce and does not like raw fresh vegis and fruits and sprouts!

TIP: Get rid of all CASEIN protein in yours and your dad's diet. Casein feeds cancer cell, it is a fertilizer for cancer. So that means NO milk proteins from a cow, at all, no cheese, no milk. etc.

Read the book, the best ever by Dr Campbell THE CHINA STUDY. You can get it on Amazon.

Katerina, we've got 5 or 6 Whole Foods within a 15-20 minute drive.  The closest one is just 3 miles down the road and very close to my wife's dance studio.  Just stopped there for lunch last weekend.  While we can't afford to buy all our groceries there every week, it's a pleasure to shop in the wonderful atmosphere and pick up some great foods.

Brian- You are so blessed to have them so close to you. Must be a large demand for their supply:) We can only go once a month and then stock up on all our rice milk, corn pastas, nuts, seeds and rices. Their prices are so much less than the other stores we have around here for those items. We go to Target which is much closer to us for items such as Morning Star products, they have the best prices on those, then we also get our weekly organic produce at Target. Our local Publix which is walking distance from our house is where we go weekly for our eggs, they have the best prices on those and on organic breads and daily organic lettuce. We also get our recycled TP and paper towels at Publix, much cheaper than Seventh Generation. We get our Seventh Generation household products at Target. I am a very mythodical shopper.
