The Champaign County, Ohio Fair started August 1st and runs through August 8th. What a great time to get out and meet other people in our communities. There are many changes happening around us everyday that we do not see directly. We seem to get caught up in work, raising the children, and running all over. Then we have our fair; the truck pulls, horse races, tractor pulls, the many shows for all the 4-H clubs, so much excitement in the air!
Take time to look around! There is alot of change happening in our county. Take time to talk to political figures running for offices and find out how those offices are changing come the 2008 election term. I was very surprised to hear some of the changes happening. Such as Family court will be ran much different than we are use to. I suggest that we all contact people to find out there views and how the changes will effect the county as a whole. My personal views are that I would like to see a judgeship consisting of experienced lawyers who have been in practice & have seen the effects on decisions made in the court systems. Whether a divorce, child custody, foster care, visitation rights's, ect, This is an area where names alone or popularity in an election should not be a factor in our vote . We need to be informed and stay on top of what is happening on our local issues before we vote.
