What is normal, where do buyers and their agents get off, do comps matter for anything?

I had a case today where a home was that was offered at $55000, received a offer at $50,000 then we had a price drop to $50,000 and the agent sent in a offer at $45000 and got mad at me when the seller accepted their offer???

What makes it so bad in our business today that paying asking price is bad? this home is dramatically undervalued and was a great buy at $55k now the buyer is mad that her offer was accepted.

Hi Andrew,

Am I missing something here? The buyer is unhappy because her offer was accepted?

Andrew, I guess that I am in the same boat as Lynda, the buyer was mad that her offer was accepted?  Why did she put in an offer?

I don't get it either? Most buyer's are happy when their offer is accepted. I guess that's your point: What is normal?

So they offered $50000 got accepted then wanted to go to $45000 after the offer was accepted? I guess that is what the confusion is?

LOL. When a first offer is accepted, the buyer thinks the overpaid. They expect a counter-offer. But they don't realize what a good job you did by getting the seller to accept their first offer! Maybe you should pre-qualify the news by telling the buyers how hard you had to work, and how many hours you had to spend, and how much convincing you had to do, to get the offer accepted! ;)
