It is located near a Biodiesel Plant which was implemented from a Brasil Ecodiesel Company project. This company is responsible for 60% of Brazilian biodiesel production and utilizes as main raw materials castor bean, soybean and sunflower, which are considered the best plants to produce high quality biodiesel. With this project, more than 30.000 (thirty thousand) families will have their production sell guaranteed.

According to Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy, biodiesel is an ecologically correct fuel, renewable and biodegradable, derivative from vegetable oils and animal fats. Biodiesel is utilized on diesel motors and it is a partial or complete substitute for mineral diesel (derivative from petroleum). Its usage reduces 78% of carbon dioxide emission.
