Absorption Rate
Since May, the number of homes on the market has been slowly shrinking, putting most of Hartford County in a balanced or normal market. May - 7 Months of Inventory June - 6 Months of Inventory - an average of 585 homes selling in previous three months July - 5 Months of Inventory - an average of 577 homes selling in previous three months Clearly, we experienced a jump in home sales during the spring which has absorbed some of the housing inventory. Is this a sign of better things to come? I don’t think so.
