Look for the article on Home Staging in Consumer Reports!  Here is an excerpt from one of their internal boxes:  reprinted from Consumer Reports September 2008 issue:

Here is the link to the article featuring Barb Schwarz - as the expert in the Home Staging industry that shares the important reasons why consumers need to Stage first before they sell!

The more positive press coverage we have that reaches the mass public - the better it will be for all of us - Stagers and Realtors combined!

Wow Jennie--those are MY photos of a home RE:STYLE staged!!!! They were first used on Kiplinger.com, then in Newsweek. Boy, I never saw them in this publication. I'm honored they used them, but shouldn't I have known??? Thanks for the heads-up.

Now that I'm over my shock--good for all us stagers! The more info out there, the better!

Thanks for posting this Jennie. I'm going to use the link in my newsletter I'm working on. I noticed the printed article stated that home staging fees were tax deductable but not paint and such. What about rental furniture and accessories would that fall under staging fees or supplies? Any one know the answer?

That looks like a great article; also looks like I am not charging enough for my two-hour consultations, despite what some agents have said!!

Thanks Jennie for sharing and thanks Kathi for the photos.  I remember waking up one morning to read a nationally syndicated column with photos of a great room I had staged that had previously been featured in the Detroit News.  Enjoy the compliment and as you said the more out there the better for us all.
