It is very sad to hear about the millions of homeowners in the Unites States who have lost their homes. One wonders whom is to blame; certainly the consumer who is taking out a mortgage should be responsible to make sure that he or she is not being deceived. On the other hand, deceptive mortgage companies can make a mortgage so appealing that the consumer is so hyped up, they don't know what they are doing.

Here in Prince Edward Island, Canada, this problem doesn't exist or is very minimal. The mortgage companies in PEI are more honourable and don't try to deceive their customers.
