Cyber-Visit from the Southern-Tier on Boomer’s Back Porch, a Cross-Blog Adventure (Part II—the Dog’s Story)!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Noted Curmudgeons

This post is for some very special fans of Daisy, the long-legged Beagle, the Cooper Kids!

So today you will learn what went on with the dog-people while we were visiting. I guess those wily creatures, especially that bad Daisy, require a little more supervision than we thought.

We present to our Gentle Readers—our dog’s visit:

By the time we were ending our visit, Pepper had returned home, and the remaining canines were quietly enjoying each other's company.

This last graphic is presented to the Cooper Kids for inspiring us to present the dog's little story.

Sarah: Soon I’ll be off to breakfast, and after I have some work around the “estate” to get done. With temps in the 60s and a sunny sky—I can’t afford to miss this early spring opportunity. I’ll check in as time permits. I’m very happy with "Little One’s” reaction!

I changed the large Pepper image, his socks needed an adjustment!

LOL Jay, I'm glad Brutus is off the hook, Cleo doesn't seem like one to be reckoned with! Yes, Pepper is very handome too, I'm glad Daisy has a new friend, they seem purrfectly matched! I too loved the little one's reaction! Still smiling here!

The Tall One is up now!  She was bleary eyed but went along with me when I told her to sit at the computer and read this.  She laughed at the first line when you mentioned "Cooper Kids" and wanted to see what this was all about.  Little One was smiling along with me because she was "in on it" now.  When she scrolled down to the Pop! and saw who it was she said, "There's Pepper!"  Big smile!  She scrolled a little more and saw your (recently updated) cyber Pepper and said, "Wow, they did a good job!"  (You did!)  Tall One said, "Pepper's famous, 'The bark heard round the world!'"  This has been a very fun morning for us in the Cooper household!  Thank you!  And Pepper thanks you, he doesn't know why he's getting these extra pats and smiles, but he's happy about it.

YAY - Diet Coke on TAP!!!  That made my morning!  I haven't had one yet, so I'll just nestle in on the porch with a tall glass of ice cold Diet Coke and watch of these pooches for a bit, and then head out to show property this morning.

Thanks Codgers!

CBB: I’ll take a kid’s smile over a gold star any day—it's much brighter!

Sarah: Give Pepper a pat for me.

Ann: You are quite welcome to linger.

Well Good Morning Jay and Company...

This is hilarious. Do you really think Cleo acts like her Mistress? You betcha :)

Just so you know Cleo loves her Rabbits. Neither she or Brutus Tutas seem to mind that it's greasy meat :)

Seriously though, it was very kind of you to do this for Sarah's children. I bet they loved it.

Jay. You heart is made of gold. What a great post. SVW.

TLW:  We really needed to include the dogs, an oversight on my part, and learning of Sarah’s kids’ being fans of Daisy—gave me a grand excuse for the post.  And yes, I used you and CBB as patterns for Brutus Tutas & Cleo (forgive me for stealing your schtick).

Thank you for your kind words.

Jay...

You've stolen nothing. What's mine is yours. Especially if it can be used to amaze a few children :)

How cute was THAT. I really like poping over to your blog knowing that I will always leave smiling.

One question... HOW long does it take you to create all those Graphics?

You know as I type this... I am thinking YOU created the FIRST CYBER COMIC strip in the Rain.

COOL!

Laugh It Forward...

TLW:  I knew that!

Craig: Why thank you! I save everything I create in MS Word, and reuse it, so a lot of the work is done. All three of the original dogs are “grouped” separately so they may be added or deleted from a frame. “Pepper” is a modified “Cleo” Same ears, eyes, upper body, & tail (tail was expanded to be fluffier). His front legs, mouth, and belly are new. I just disassembled a “Cleo” copy, reversed and rotated the ears, same eyes & nose, and of course re-colored the various parts. Total time to remake the “Cleo” copy into “Pepper” about an hour, including a couple of edits. For each of the cartoon panels: 1. Delete or add necessary characters to and from the Word documents (save each separately). 2. Add speech or thought balloons and dialog. 3. Create pdf & jpeg.  4. Manipulate in Photoshop (add “Pop” & flash of light). 5. Resize and save for internet (dumbs it down).

A totally new complex drawing can take 10 to 20 hours to produce. I’ve gotten smarter as I created. SAVE EVERYTHING! That way I don’t have to redraw—the full-bodied Codgers and guests often share arms, hands, caps, glasses, and legs.

Jay, just wanted to pop over one more time and thank you again for the cyber Pepper and cool story.  You have some very big fans in West Virginia.  We gave Pepper his pat from you, and lots of extra ones, too.  Thank you for our fun day!

jay, very interesting talking dogs, but then again why not it is a Cyber World that they are in and anything is possible.

George: In the CodgerTM Cyber-World, if it can be made into a graphic, and speech or thought balloons added, it may speak. My self-admitted addle-brained imagination is only limited by our idea of fun & good taste. This particular post was fun to produce, and by far the most personally rewarding post we've ever done. :-)

WOW... I USE WORD mainly too for all my graphics!

Most people don't believe me. BUT it really can do so much more.

I thought I was the only nut... now I know I am not alone.

Craig: The best graphics program I've used was the old "Clarisworks" years ago when I had a Mac. But now Word is the best for my purposes.
