Dog walk funThis Saturday (August 9th) is Sarge's Third Annual Downtown Waynesville Dog Walk, which is Sarge's largest fundraiser. The walk starts at 10 a.m. in front of the Courthouse. If you aren't registered yet:

"Pre-registration will be Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm at the WNC Visitors Center. Registration is $15 per person. Kids under 12 are free when accompanied by a registered adult. At the pre-registration, walkers will turn in their forms, donations and pledge sheets and pick up their goody bags and dog bandannas. Tee shirts are free to registered walkers who collect $15 or more in donations or choose to pay an additional $15."

Dog walk funLast minute registration Saturday morning begins at 9:15 a.m. Following the Dog Walk, contests for the Best Tail Wagger, Best Kisser, Most Talented and Best Dressed will be held, hosted by Jeanne Naber.

This is a great event for a wonderful cause. (Sarge's saved 377 animals during the first six months of 2008.) Be there and participate if you can!

If you can't be there, and you want to donate money or time, here's your link: Help Sarge's.

I'll be there taking pictures!
