A New York Feng Shui Consultant sees the South St. Seaport- Manhattan

The South Street Seaport in Manhattan...if you've even taken a trip to New York City, it's likely you've made it a point to get to The Empire State Building    Real Estate Blog - New York Photos & Feng Shui: A Bird's Eye View ...   and, hopefully, Central Park Back to Nature--Central Park in New York City! by Feng Shui Long Island or Central Park and New York City.....Beautiful Every Time! .  I'm hoping that you didn't miss another one of our wonderful attractions, The South Street Seaport.  A quote from their website:

"When they say "the City" they mean New York.  When they say "not-to-be-missed" they mean the South Street Seaport located in Downtown New York City at Fulton and South Street-Pier 17.

It is an idyllic way to spend the day.  The views alone are spectacular as are the ships, both the ones passing by and those that are docked there.  If you like shopping, you've hit a home run here!  Many different types of stores from designer to funky shops you're unlikely to find anywhere else.  And some of the best and freshest seafood New York City has to offer.

Carole--You have a treasure trove of photos here...I love the ships docked but the "statue" playing with the little boy is priceless. They have similar character actors in WDW...Always fun to watch. I love Zoldar...And we had Body Worlds at the Science Museum of MN a few years back. It was their most popular exhibit ever! That is of course until Star Wars landed this summer...We are going tomorrow as it is only here for 8 weeks! Fun photos of NYC!

There is so much to see in the Big Apple.  It's amazing that all we think about when we say NYC (most of us anway) is traffic, eclectic people, crime, etc.  Then you post these beautiful photos and all that nonsense disappears.  Thanks for sharing.

Carole - it is funny the lengths people will go to not to get a job. I'm speaking of the statue people. Thanks for the info. It is so hard to find out all the things that are going on. I'd love to see the yo-yo contest.

Rich, I know, I am going to post about why I posted---if that makes any sense at all!  It's been a week is all I can say (and you would love the Seaport!).

Teri, I hope the Star Wars exhibit comes here---I can't even IMAGINE how long the lines for that would be!  I hope you take pictures, I was lucky enough to be at the New York Red Carpet premiere of Star Wars (the last one) and I LOVED it!

Laurie, Can I just drag you into the City with me one day?  We would have such a wonderful time!

Kate, MY wish is that someday you'll get YOUR wish, I would love to meet you and show you around Manhattan.

Marzena, That would be wonderful...the difficult part would be choosing a place among my list of favorites!  You would love New York I believe.

Robert, Thank you, I am always trying to improve my pictures.

Joan, I might wear you out but we can see a LOT in one day!  I do hope you get here again as well.

Gary, I have to say I love Zoltar at a distance :)  But the Seaport is a fun place, lots of things to do and enjoy there.

Betty, I will meet you in the City anytime.  I love going in and there are such nice places to see there that you would really love.

Trace, Keep bugging him until he does :)  The Seaport is just wonderful to eat at, we had gormet meals for about $10.00 each...I couldn't believe the prices were so low and the food was so good!

Carol, The City is jammed with pedestrians more then traffic I think--and they are one tough crowd when it's a weekend and it's nice out.  Funny that I don't think of crime there at all anymore, it is completely different then it was years ago and so safe in neighborhoods you used to have to stay far away from!

Fred, That was one quick book writing, huh?  :)  My next post will explain why I'm back!

Maureen, I used to see things like that in San Franciso long before we had them in New York.  It's funny that the Naked Cowboy has disappeared....He won his lawsuit against M & M's and is a millionaire now!  Funny that you never know where an offbeat job will get you :)

Hi Carole, I am surprised that the comments were enabled! After reading your post, I had to check out the 'Bodies Exhibit" website. It looks so interesting but there are no exhibits of it near me. Maybe it will come to Spokane in the future. Were you able to see it? If so, what did you think?

Carole- Wonderful photos and localism post. I wanted to tell you on your last post, where comments are disabled, that you are to the point where you will need to hire an assistant to help you. I am in the middle of writing my book on Short Sales. It takes the back seat during the week but on the weekends I make the time to write. The window of opp is only open for so long. GO for it:)

Carole- Allow the comments and then just come to your post and write a general comment to everyone. That is what I do when I am just too swamped to return each comment individually. I want to comment to you and I don't mind if you can not comment back. I am sure others feel the same too. Don't turn our ability to speak to you off.:(

Katerina, Thank you for that push and you're write.  This is the time I planned to finally finish it and have been caught up in so many things.  I'm going to put some special time away just for that and nothing else.  Thank you so much, I needed that push to get going again!

Libby, I personally didn't like it at ALL---although I know some people found it facinating.  I saw a bit of it and went outside---gave me the shudders.
