Great Waters Music Festival. Up North Music And Art Festival . Up North Productions is presenting the Up North Music and Art Festival at the Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds in Hiram, Maine. Appearing at the Up Stage the first day of the three day festival are Jimkata and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, while the North Stage on opening day will feature The Everyone Orchestra conducted by Matt Butler and featuring Jon Fishman; Soulive, and The Wailers. Gates will open on at noon. Jackson Farmers' Market. The Jackson Farmers' Market runs every Saturday through Columbus Day weekend. The market is located on Route 16A next to the Snowflake Inn in downtown Jackson. 'Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants'. In partnership with the White Mountains Interpretive Association, the Saco Ranger District offers natural and cultural history programs at the Russell-Colbath Historic Homestead every Saturday evening in July and August. These free interpretive programs are held at 7 p.m. at the Russell-Colbath historic homestead barn, 12 miles west of Conway on the Kancamagus Highway. Penny Sale. The Ossipee Town Hall is hosting a penny sale. Tickets are on sale from 4 to 6 p.m. with the raffle beginning at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available. This event benefit the Ossipee Concerned Citizens.

Lake Ossipee Cruise. A two-hour historical narrated cruise of Lake Ossipee sets out from the Ossipee Lake Marina. Launch times are every hour starting at 9 a.m. with the last cruise at 2 p.m. The cost is $14 per adult, $7 per child or $35 per family of four in advance; or $17 per adult, $8 per child or $45 per family of four at the launch. Stonewall Building Workshop. Learn the craft of dry stonewalling with a master craftsman certified by the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain at a stonewall building workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Tin Mountain Conservation Center. Tour de Lovell. The third annual Tour de Lovell gets under way at 9 a.m. The tour is a scenic 20-mile bike ride through Lovell, taking in vistas of the White Mountains. Sponsored by the Lovell Recreation Department and the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library, the tour has three categories: road (performance-racing bicycle), touring (mountain-comfort bicycle) and kids' tour (under 14, all bicycles). The road and touring categories will have age groups and gender divisions. Fees are $30 for the road and touring categories and $20 for the kids' category. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be holding their annual blueberry pancake breakfast in their new church home located at 42 Sweden Road in Bridgton from 7:30 to 10 a.m. It will be a nice hot home style cooked breakfast of blueberry pancakes topped with syrup and real whipped cream, various muffins, danishes and beverages included. Songs Of The African-Spanish Diaspora. The World Fellowship Center in Conway is presenting Songs of the African-Spanish Diaspora at 7:30 p.m. Tomas Rodriguez (Spanish and Flamenco Guitar) will collaborate with vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (Latin and African Percussion, Mbira) Hasan Bakr in a program that examines musical connections between the African and Spanish diasporas and their union in the musical landscape of the Americas.
