Even Rosie the Blogger wants to help her fellow bloggers succeed! Photo copyright of Mike Licht, NotionsCapital.com on Flickr.Jim Walberg, the co-Owner/Broker of The Bay Area Team in San Francisco, told me something really cool a few days ago. He said, "Bloggers are the most open and sharing community I have found on the Internet. They want every blogger to win!" I have definitely found that to be true.

As a blogger, I often find myself learning a great deal about what is effective and what is not from other bloggers with more experience than me. I have received a lot of positive feedback and support in my blogging from Eric Kodner, a luxury homes Broker with Wayzata Lakes Realty and Madeline Island Realty. Eric is an awesome blogger, and he has more than 110,000 points on ActiveRain.

In addition, I just did a simple search on ActiveRain for "blog tip" and I found a whole bunch of great ideas for improving my own blog posts. I particularly like Ronnie Roach's Blog Tip of the Week. He confirmed my suspicion that I should use a different term than "blog" to describe each post I write. Another great resource is the Daily Blog Tips Web site.

There are many other examples out there, but these show how helpful and open the blogging community is. Jim is right! He's been blogging for more than two years and he currently has two blogs, one called Caribbean Islands Realty and another called East Bay Real Estate. He also contributes many of his blog posts to the Luxury Real Estate Blog, which I appreciate very much.Jim Walberg, an experienced blogger who is also the co-owner/broker of The East Bay Team in San Francisco.

I appreciate all the people who take the time to let me know when they agree with what I write and those who share their disagreements, too. Feedback is very helpful, and bloggers are often happy to give it. In fact, I hope you feel free to let me know if you think I'm a little naïve on this topic or to share your own experiences with helping fellow bloggers or receiving help from them.

By the way, Jim shared this quote with me as I was writing a news release about his upcoming presentation at the 13th Annual Luxury Real Estate Fall Conference on effective blog strategies and tactics and the positive effects that can come from blogging. This event will be in Philadelphia on October 11-14, 2008 and you're welcome to attend.

Wow what great resources you have here!  You obviously know what you are doing and I am new to all of this.  What is the protocol for talking about my blog on my web page...I have spent a lot of time dissecting the housing bill and writing about it...on my own website.  Can I push that here on Active Rain?

I am going to check all of your resource items and I would like to keep your name in case I have someone wanting to go to San Francisco, perhaps you only work in a certain price range?  I am here in Tucson and once and a while have a client who needs an agent in San Francisco.

Thanks Robert.

Best,

Dear Terry,

Thank you very much for your comment! I just went to your blog on your Web site and I'm impressed by your great insights into housing laws and current events. You can definitely post the content you write on your blog on your ActiveRain blog. I do that often. In fact, I posted this blog entry on the Luxury Real Estate Blog, as well as here. I think as long as you're honest and have great content, like you certainly do, then go ahead and add your posts to both places.

By the way, Jim Walberg is definitely the guy to go to for your clients who are interested in luxury properties in San Francisco or the Caribbean. I'm the Public Relations & Media Specialist for Luxury Real Estate, a global network of more than 1,800 real-estate firms that specialize in high-end properties. I don't actually buy and sell properties, but I have connections to many firms that do, so I'm happy to be a resource for you.

Thanks again for your wonderful comment. Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Robert Lockard

Thank you Robert and especially being the PR and Media person, your comments are truly a compliment.  Perhaps I will just copy everything to the Active Rain blog as you suggested.  Do you have Luxery Real Estate here in Tucson?  I don't think I've seen it.  We certainly have many multi million dollar homes now...six or eight years ago, we had none.  I will keep track of what you write!

Dear Terry,

You are quite welcome. I just subscribed to your ActiveRain blog so I can read your blog entries, as well. I'm grateful for your compliments, too. :) Actually I just did a search on LuxuryRealEstate.com and it looks like we have a member named Long Realty Company representing about 200 luxury properties in Tucson. Excellent.

Sincerely,
Robert Lockard
