The signs are up but no dirt has been turned or bunnies displaced yet.
The newest planned development for Cascade Township, Michigan is
going to have Brownstone Architecture, Classic English Cottage &
Garden influence combined with "green" building standards and energy
efficient choices at Turnburry of Cascade should make this development
environment friendly.
Located at the southwest corner of Burton Street and Kraft Avenue, it will
be near the bike path and just behind the Meijer store on 28th Street and
Kraft Avenue. Forest Hills Public Schools will be the school district serving
this new residential area. The latest publicity article says they plan to
construct 106 total units, consisting of 90 Brownstone condo homes and
16 cottage condos.
The cottages will start at $350,00 while the Brownstones will start
at $240,000.
Turnburry's vertical architecture will leave almost 70% of the site to be
designated open space to create an open feeling and encourage pedestrian
activity and social interaction.
We stopped out and took a few before pictures. We will keep you updated on
the latest developments, as we drive by frequently.

I like the idea of 70% open space! I looked at the website - this looks like a very nice development and I love the fact that they will be building green and energy efficient homes.
What do you think the chances are they will add solar hot water to these homes?
