It is hard to believe that I am an old-timer here at Active Rain... I joined in July. Time moves by very fast here. I have seen the progression from less than a thousand users to well over 22,000 users. There are times I am seeing well over 1,000 people online here at Active Rain.
I also have seen not only myself evolve over time, but Active Rain especially with the advent of Localism. I have forged many new friendships and developed business relationships with so many others. I thought for those of you that haven't been around all that long that you would like to see the evolution of posts here. I did a little traveling through the past, and thought this might be a good day to share some of the evolution...
- First stop brings you to page 5237 after there had been several days of posting here at Active Rain round about June 28th (as of today March 24th -- this will change as more posts are added) Look at how short the posts were? We were all starting to get to know each other..
- Second Stop brings you to page 5215 and we start to see the use of graphics...
- Third stop brings you to page 4890 and you can now really see the changes and advancements by many members
- Page 4102 is the Fifth stop and brings us to October 2006.
- Six page is page 3500 and November 2006
- Page 2300 brings us to January 2007
What does this mean for you the new member here at Active Rain? It means that many of us started exactly where you are and with hard work and practice we have evolved to where we are now... So get out there and start writing! Find a mentor and know that you too can achieve great things here!
