Banning, CA is known as Stagecoach Town USA. Banning’s History includes serving as a stagecoach and railroad stop between the Arizona Territories and Los Angeles.  The Railroad and Farming were two of the major industries in the area. Today people move here for affordable living, great Senior Communities, Beautiful Mountain Vistas, and the attraction of having all 4 Seasons.  Clean Air, and centrally located to almost all Southern California Cities makes Banning, Ca a great place to live.

We have several Community Parks in the various Subdivisions....and this is just one of them.  This Park was named after one of Banning's long time resident and leader. There are 3 Main City Parks:

  • Lions Park- on the South side of town where the Little League Plays
  • Sylvan Park- where families picnic and kids play on the West Side of Town
  • Repplier Park- Adult Co-ed Softball, The Playhouse Bowl, Swimming Pool, Skate Park, Community Center, and the Senior Center
  • Roosevelt Park- East side of town with several activities for children
  • Richard Sanchez Park- The North Side of town

Banning, CA is just a little over an hour from Los Angeles, around 2 hours to San Diego, and 20 minutes to Palm Springs.  Everything you could want is either in town or a short drive away.

Sally- History...that will have to wait for another Post...or at least until after the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics :)  As for green grass....we do not have the rain you have in Hawaiil.....but we do water the grass :)

Pam- Oh Banning has some beautiful areas....we have the Mountain Community of the Banning Bench, the Mias Canyon Area.......Ranches that are 20 acres and used to be Agriculture or Horse Properties....and some beautiful older homes in the Northern area of town. After the freeway was built Banning like so many towns in America suffered, and recently we are trying to revive the Downtown.  But in it's hay-day the Movie Theater was where Bob Hope did his radio show......among other things :)
