What is the "RE BLOG" Function on Active Rain?

Kay, it says it is for optional commentary on this post. I wonder what optional commentary is? Sondra

The following is the reblogged post from Kay Perry:

This morning when I logged on, I noticed something new to me. What is the 'Re Blog" image inside our blogs?

It may have been there for a while, I don't know. But I just now noticed it. Why would we want to re-blog our own blog?

Could someone please explain?

Hi Sondra, I feel so clueless. I think instead of asking me, you need to find out and tell me. I had someone else tell me about RE Blog and I can't even find the image. What they told me is they clicked on it (wherever it is), and it took them back to their own blog. If you, or others find out what you are talking about, please let me know. There are getting to be so many functions on the blog with hyperlinks, graphics, and widgets, it is a wonder we find anything. BTW, I clicked on your Kay Perry link and it appeared broken, at least when I did it. BTW, what does "OPTIONAL commentary" mean? Isn't just writing "another" comment, more comments?

I like yourself am becoming confused and tedious, by trying to absorb all the bells and whistles. My gosh... some agent's pages look like a dashboard on a commercial jet! It wears me out.

I don't have a clue! But I will agree with Trey that if you get to much info on your blog page, it will take forever for someone to view it.

There are members that have to much info and I stay away from their blogs and do not subscribe.

Hi Sondra, I found out more about the RE-Blog function which I think temporarily went away. Go to this link to learn more and when it resurfaces you will be good to go.

Sondra, even more on the re-blogging topic. Personally I think there could be some copyright issues with it if someone takes your content and puts it on their blog totally without your permission and who knows where it will end up:
