Renters Beware Of This Possible Outcome During Your Lease

By
Real Estate Agent with Classic Realty Realtor

On July 31st of this year, I penned an article that I felt was long over due. The title was, "Renters Make Sure You Are Not Left Homeless". It was all about Landlord's and more specifically, the potential of their Rental Properties going into Foreclosure and their tenants being left out in the cold. For sure, many Rental Properties are probably just fine and the risk to renters is quite slim. On the other hand, the Washington Post just published an article about one Maryland Man left homeless not just once, but twice because of his Landlord's property (two seperate Landlord's where he was renting) going into Foreclosure. I would urge you to take a moment and read the current article called, "Foreclosure Crisis Catching Renters Off Guard". When you are finished, I also want to give you a strong nudge to read the article I wrote at the end of July, mentioned above. In my article, you will find a couple of things you can do to help make sure your landlord is current in their mortgage payments before you rent and minimize the risk of this happening to you.

A Burrows' Thought worth considering:
Buying a house involves commitment to the task before you. My definition of commitment is translated inconvenience. Expect the unexpected after you have a contract. Something always develops that you didn't expect to happen. When it does, remain calm and absolutely resolved to see everything through to the end. By the way, this is when you lean on your Realtor.
