Swim Lessons
Swim Lessons 

The beautiful Boundary Waters Aquatic Center features an 8-lane, 25-yard heated competition pool, and a 4-lane, heated therapeutic/teaching pool.

The Aquatic Center was designed and constructed with SPLOST funds. Thanks to the citizens of Douglas County for this wonderful facility!

Operating Hours and Rates
Mondays - Fridays: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sundays: 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The pools will be cleared a 1/2 hour before closing

Swim School
The Swim School is a year-round swimming instructional program dedicated to teaching kids, youth, teens and adults to swim in a warm, supportive and fun environment! The program is taught by certifed teachers. Please call for more information.

Birthday Parties
Have your child's birthday party at the Aquatic Center! They can enjoy swimming, have a private birthday party in the meeting room (up to 20 guests for a maximum of 2 1/2 hours - tables and chairs provided). You may bring refreshments for the kids. Party favors such as "silly string" are prohibited. Reservations required.

Pool Rules

  • All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
  • All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult in a swimsuit.
  • Infants must wear "swimmies" in the pool.
  • Underwear and shorts are not substitutes for a swim suit and will not be allowed in the pool.
  • No running, boisterous or rough play will be allowed.
  • People with open wounds, skin, eye or nasal infections are not allowed in the pools.
  • No food, drinks or gum are allowed on the pool deck or in the locker rooms.
  • No alcohol or drugs are allowed in the Aquatic Center, and no person using these substances may use the pools.
  • Compitition pool lanes are for lap swimmers only.
  • People may not wear street shoes on the pool deck.


Boundary Waters Recreational Complex
The Boundary Waters Park is a 500-acre facility, approximately 300 of which will be dedicated to active recreation, and the remaining 200 for passive recreation, including multi-use equestrian trails, hiking trails, picnic and playground areas.

Active areas will include the Aquatic Center, softball/baseball complex, tennis complex (6 courts in Phase 1, 6 courts in Phase 2 plus a clubhouse), and football/soccer stadium (with track).

I have a small disability dealing with crushed spine discs and herniated discs.  I have a friend who has a brain injury and needs some assistance getting in and out of the pool.  My question is whether or not another person may be in the pool with a paying aerobics swim time?  We are very interested.
