What is it with democrats and ADULTERY

By
Real Estate Agent with DeGeorge Realty LLC

I was just reading through the news this morning, and something caught my eye.  Former democratic presidential contender and all around pretty-boy senator John edwards has finally admitted to cheating on his illness stricken wife while he was on the campaign trail in 2006.  This comming a mere 9 years after senator edwards bashed then president billy Clinton for his indiscressions while in the oval office.  Though the situations are pretty different, they both cover the democratic penchant for marital infidelity.  Clinton, however, had a healthy wife at the time...physically anyway, we all know hillary is far from "right" in the head.  Senator edward's wife was seriously ill when John took it upon himself to destroy the sanctity of his marriage.

All of that said, one could possibly forgive the indiscression as a result of the pressurers put on a candidate attempting a run at the White house.  But edwards quickly lost the shot at a pass for this mistake by blatantly LIE-ing about it.  In much the same way that then president Billy Clinton flat out lied to the American public concerning his affair, edwards denied the reports, and his answer was to bash the National inquirer.  Though the tabloid is not reputed as one of our country's staunchest news outlets, they broke the story that edwards infact had an affair, and a love child was the result.  It was not until sometime later that the story gained credibility, and now today it is out there for all of America to see.  Another democrat caught up in a sex scandle, but this time we got him before he was in office.

Unlike Billy clinton, whose political career was all but over, edwards is now entering a downward spiral, and his career as a public figure may be unreprably dammaged.  This pretty boy, up and commer in the democratic party now has much less of a chance to gain the support of the country and further his political career.  This is a substantial blow to the democratic power structure, because they need charasmatic leadership who are also pleasing to the eye.  Edwards is hovering just above limbo, and as this news becomes more visable, he will sink into oblivion...maybe theres a town clerk job out there somewhere for him...maybe that is too much for this liar to handle with out suffering from moral terpitude.

The coward, edwards, decided that this was the right time to come out with the story of his infidelity, because the Olympic games began yesterday, and would obviously over shadow his disgraceful story...but I say lets not let that happen!  Send this to all of your friends and associates...make sure they know what kind of men make up the democratic party in America these days.  Following the example of slick Willy clinton, senator John edwards is a LIAR, a CHEATER, and a general SCUM BAG.  Make sure people know this, because it is important, and I really don't want this piece of garbage to ever run for public office again if it can be helped.  We certainly don't need another clinton-esque man in office who can lie to us and set a horrific example to young men all over America.  Marriage is SACRED, honesty is paramount for our leaders, and for edwards to have done this to his ailing yet steadfastly faithful wife just makes me SICK.  Take note America, keep this SCUM BUM out of office, and maybe even write him letting him know how you personally feel about his antics.  I have and hope you all do the same, he may feel bad for getting caught...but these letters will let him know that his brand of ethics ARE  N O T acceptable!

I don't feel as though I would classify this as a "democrat thing". I think that I would classify it as a position of power. Thanks

Jon - From the tone of the article, I assume that you fully intend to vote for John McCain.  McCain, as noted, above also cheated on his wife.  He also denied doing so.  So where is ths difference?  I really hope that you aren't just a hypocritical blowhard who only see fault in those with whom he doesn't agree.

I agree with other posters -- this isn't a Democrat only issue -- this is a moral issue and depravity of character that runs through our entire society.  Anyone can fall -- we are all at risk ! ~Evelyn

This is the worst blog I have ever seen. Poorly written. Poorly thought out. Incredibly slanted and ignorant in it's every line. You should be ashamed to have your name attached to this drivel.

You shouldn't post if you are afraid of the truth. Censoring dissenting opinions is just plain, old intellectual cowardice.

McCain's choice to upgrade when it comes to a wife was a good one, and I don't blame him for doing it...atleast he stuck with the second one.  Clinton obviously threw his fling under the bus.  Newt unfortunately is a pill popping lune that should have gotten out of the public limelight years ago, and Guilliani got the answer to how republicans feel about him while attempting a run at the white house.

Jon,

My heart goes out to the entire Edwards family, he is now a private citizen, according to him, he has confessed to God and his wife,

And he has asked God and his wife to forgive him, isn't that what believers are suppose to do?

Let's pray for them, and not rag on them.

He's a scum bag. To do this when his wife was so sick is a disgrace. But this has nothing to do with his politics. There are just as many examples on the other side of the isle.

It is a very sad the way this world has lost it's morals.

Sometimes I really wonder if there ever were morals at all!

Democrats----I don't think so.

It is everywhere around us.  I remember when I was a little kid and the Gary Rice/model affair came out.  I told my parents that the day was coming that this would no longer matter.  Why?  Because of all my friends in school, my parents were one of the only ones who were still married.  Many had divorced or had "friends on the side."  Kids grow up and see what the parents are doing....so why would they think this is a disgrace.  It's everywhere on tv, radio and people you know.  There is hardly a day that goes by that some scandal doesn't come to life.  Look at the disgraceful divorce rate in this country.  It is wrong and a sad part of the world.

Perhaps we should ask: what is it with adultery?

Jhn 8:4   "Teacher," they said to Jesus, "this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.
Jhn 8:5   The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?"
Jhn 8:6   They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.
Jhn 8:7   They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, "All right, stone her. But let those who have never sinned throw the first stones!"
Jhn 8:8   Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.
Jhn 8:9   When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.
Jhn 8:10   Then Jesus stood up again and said to her, "Where are your accusers? Didn't even one of them condemn you?"
Jhn 8:11   "No, Lord," she said. And Jesus said, "Neither do I. Go and sin no more."

Have you ever wondered what Jesus wrote in the "dust" with his finger in verse 6?  It must have been significant because the scripture is written in verse 8 that he stooped again and wrote.

Image, if you will, that Jesus wrtoe a "blog" in the sand.  Imagine that all could read what he had written.  Imagine if you can that if they wished, they could all write a comment below the Jesus blog.

Now, I finally ask, if you were to be able to have commented on the Jesus blog about this womans adultury instead of Edwards, would your comments have been any different than your comments in this blog by Jon?

McCain's first wife had been in a car wreck that most likely changed her as much on the inside as it did on the outside. McCain had been a pow for ,what was it 5 years, which I am sure changed him. So a divorce between those two was not unexpected or unusual under those circumstances.

What is not understandable are these people who seem to have normal, functional relationships and they just cheat because they can. To the point that some of these guys are paying for call girls and prostitutes.

I'm not a big McCain fan. I do however have the intelligence to see the difference between what he and his wife went through versus the typical political adultry case. There is really no comparison.

Bill Clinton had it all and that wasnt enough. It's the same for a lot of political figures.

Is it mostly a democrat problem or issue? Probably not, but when you look at the dems as a whole or look at the surveys and stats you see that most are liberal minded and don't see marriage n the same light as reps. For instance, most dems said they didn't care that clinton cheated. It had no bearing. Most reps differed in their opinion on the subject.

Do reps cheat? Sure they do. Do reps in general condone it - nope. Do dems-yep.

Which is where the dividing line is.

Rick,

Great example!  I thought about this in the past and I think He was writing something like...

"Do they think I am stupid?"

It is not just Democrats.  Good old Republican speaker of the house Newt Gingrich was having an affair at the same time he was voting to impeach Clinton.  All of these people make me sick.

There seems to be an entitlement attitude by many of those elected to office.  Wheter it is local, state or national levels.  I think all of those in political life need to step back and look at their own actions.  Doesn't matter which side of the asile they sit on.

Well Said Jon.  I think if the Liberal Demoncrats would go back to Europe, they might find they fit in better.  Then we could get this Country back to the way it was when our founding fathers put together the constitution.
