Real Estate Roller Coaster

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAXPrestige

Sounds like fun ride but the reality is not fun.

I start each year with good work habits and systems. I am determined not to get caught up with my clients and not prospect or lead generate. Then I get really busy.

These last few months have been my busiest yet.

I got to go on a European tour from Venice to Paris ( that was fun!)

I am now back and I realise that my pipeline or funnel is not as full as I would like and I have to get serious about generating business.

So where are you? Are you coming down the hill screaming with you hands in the air or are you with me climbing back up the hill ready for the next ride.

Do you have great systems in place so that this does not happen to you?

Being new to the business I am climbing that hill right now. I believe I have a good work habit in place. I generally have my day planned out to the last minute. If I am not busy I feel non-productive.

What a fabulous trip to take. I bet you had a blast!

I try to stay on track, use what I have to the fullest. In these times, it's harder to jump ship all the time, looking for the latest and greatest. I just try to use 100% of what I have and know until the market moves in the right direction...

Jan It sounds as though you are off to a great start. Good Luck in your real estate journey. The trip was fabulous.

Ann-Marie LOL. Keep working hard it will pay off in the end.

Paul You are right, it is too easy to get distracted, you have to keep doing what you know works. Fortunately the market here is not hurting like many other areas of the country.

David Thank you! It is all very well having systems but not much good if you do not follow them, good advice.

I just remember my real estate master telling me the first time I came back from a 2 month vacation and complained about not having enough business.  He said "take a deep breath and enjoy it,"  He was right, Those breaks in the endless phone call and business are so short lived that you must learn to stop and enjoy the breaks. Let your self go with the Zen of the business and realize that all is good.

Bill. That is great advice. I am trying to use the time to spend some time with my family and get some things done around the house.

I have as a REMAX owner and Agent had to deal with this in my offices for all of my career.

I have posted 2 blogs so far that deal with elliminating the rollercoaster.

How to build a real estate sales empire from scratch in 10 steps. Step 2

They are based on 30 years of experience of being and working with consistent top producers and analyzing the whole real estate marketing phenomenon.

It is 10 parts on only posted the first two.

Without systems I could not stay on track and do the business I can do. Systems allow you to prioritize your time!

Jim I love real estate too but not so keen on the roller coasters.

Richard Thank you for the information. I will take a look at it. Unfortunatly it is not only knowing what to do it is actually doing it. Thanks for sharing.

Mary I just need to get my systems in place and stick with them whatever happens. This would be a good time for me to work at that.
