Welcome From Sunny Sacramento!

Hi Everyone! Well, I plunged in and finally joined Active Rain and feel like I should have done this much sooner. So, I decided to try joining and doing my first post all on the same day - I know, most of you have probably been doing this for so long you don't even realize what the big deal is!

So I'm here in sunny Sacramento, Ca (90 degrees and counting) and planning my upcoming week while our Golden Retriever is noisily dreaming of her past week right by my feet (pictures of her will come when I figure out how to add pictures..) and I got to thinking how different my job would be if the weather was not so sunny and dry most of the time. By the way I grew up in England, so I absolutely know what rain is all about - why do you think I landed in California?

Anyway, the point is, how much I admire my colleagues in less blessed climates. I used to go back to Chicago in a previous life every November for a medical convention and had to get all dolled up in heavy coats, boots, scarves, hats and gloves for going outside only to break into a sweat the minute I'd get in a taxi or go into a building or shop. So I can't imagine getting my clients into my car to tour houses and pulling into driveways hoping to not get so soggy the sellers would dread you all steeping foot into their beautifully staged homes. Yuk!
