Chris, I was actually abit south of Olympia just figured you might know where Oly was. I'm not sure if where I was raised is even on the map. It was farm country. *lol* Oly is the capitol city although quite small in comparison to Tacoma or Seattle or many others. I know what you mean, having your own chunk of the country is great. I miss it a lot.

NJ- Yeah I know where all three of those are, my cousin actually moved to WA a couple years ago. Her husband was a police officer here, and recieved an offer for higher pay and better perks and less violence (lol) so they moved out there (Seattle). They both like it :-D

I love having a good chunk of land, I get to have as big of a bon fire as I want (I made my fire pit big enough I could park my Full size truck in it if I wanted to LOL) and I get to see alot of wildlife. Today when I came home there were three deer standing in my backyard :-D Its definitly nice to be able to kick back and relax without all the noise of the city

Chris, Less crime in Seattle???? *lol* did he find out that wasn't true? I LOVE to be able to have bonfires, we always had a fire going just cause we could. I was surprised when I moved to Ohio that you couldn't build a fire down on the lakeshore. Its been too damn long since I've had a roasted marshmallow *lol* Oh yes, the landscape idiots were back today and trimmed all the bushes. If I remember tomorrow I will take some pics and send them to you. You have GOT to see them!!!! It's totally embarrassing, give ya a good laugh too.

NJ- Flint,MI has been #3 in the nation in major crimes (especially murder... we actually just laid a cop to rest not to long ago also) for a few years in a row now.... A few years ago a local rap group made a song about the city heres a part of the lyrics..... "Welcome to Flint, we average 3 murders a week" so yes, less crime in Seattle lol

I had a Smore last weekend :-P As far as the fires on the shore, nope they are banned here as well, except on private property (w/ private water, no shared access), but you have to have a burn permit. I have a 6 month permit (that I never use, because I don't call it in and activate it... but no one can see my fires anyways, and I am bound more to farming guidelines than residential ones because of the amount of property I have... atleast thats what my dads friend the code inspector told me lol)

I can't wait to see the pics, sounds like they provided you yet another quality service J/K :-(

Chris, I didn't realize there was that much crime there. I really thought Seattle would have been worse but it does make sense when I think of the different races and cultures in each area. You can get away with fires a lot more when you are secluded in your own little piece of the country that's for sure. I was even surprised you can't have fireworks here either? I mean you can buy a sparkler and smoke bombs and little fountains but that's basically it. Back home its not illegal to have fireworks, unless your going out to an indian reservation and buying M-80's but I would never do that. *lol* Not sure I understand the fear of fire here when there really aren't any "real" trees to speak of. Not like the HUGE trees back home. Anyway, I'll get some pics to ya tomorrow, get ready for an "oh my god" moment. *LMAO*

NJ- The funniest part about the "good" fireworks being illegal there in Ohio.... That's where many of us Michigan folks go to get good deals on them (and yes they are illegal here as well, I must admit I have gotten a warning for shooting off the good stuff over my pond for the 4th a few years ago...  lol). I don't get it either really. Yes I understand they can be dangerous, but so can playing sports, exercising, driving, etc. etc. etc. lol I also don't understand the fear of fire... but I love the stuff, like I said before my firepit is big enough to park my truck in. Not to mention I used to be the one to get camp fires (the good ones, for cooking on and stuff inside the pits lol) started back when I was like 6 years old lol. From the sounds of things I am sure the pics will be quite amazing lol

Chris, Ok, that brought back childhood memories of camping at the ocean every summer (Dad was a Tugboat Captain) and we would build HUGE fires with driftwood and stuff we would gather all day long. It was a highlight for me *lmao* Dad always told everyone I was a pyro cuz I always had to have sticks poking in the fire and running with them lit. I only had brothers, so I had to keep up with the boys. We need to ask Karen, I bet we are "fire signs" (you know that astrology stuff she knows about) *lol*

NJ- I love fires, I am still the same way.... For my sisters graduation party that we had at my place I had the fire so big the flames were higher than most of the trees, and my pole barn LOL :-D Wouldn't surprise me at all if we were "fire signs" if we aren't we should be... guess we will have to set whatever sign we are on fire then LOL

Chris, Oh my gawd, a fellow pyro *lol* I love that kind of fire, The bigger the better. When we cleared our land in WA for our homesite, we had a lot of stumps left to get rid of. For months we had fires going, it was fantastic. Not as good as the fires at the ocean, man those were great!!!! I'm surprised none of us kids every got burnt, we were wild ones. Haha. BTW, I looked at Karen's blog about astrology and you are a fire sign, suprise!!!! *lmao* better burn it down. Not sure if I am but I would guess I am as well. Gonna try to send you the pics of the mess the idiots made of my condo. Hope it works.

NJ- I got the pics you sent me. All I can say is OMG.... are they still alive.... the people that cut them like that I mean, heck they would of been better off just completely taking them out and planting grass :-\ On a completely serious note... do not waste your money on plants with them around. While they cut them back so much I cannot even begin to tell you what kind of bush they were I can tell you, you will be lucky if they live :-( It looks like they were in need of a good trimming, but they certainitly didn't need that much of a trim... did they use a chainsaw instead of hedge trimmers by chance???

Chris, *lol* holy crap huh? I told you these guys were complete idiots, that was only a portion of their wonderful work they did wednesday. I didn't see what they used but I'm assuming a chainsaw would be correct by the looks of things. Yes, I decided after seeing what they did that any plants I bring home would be destroyed. I think I'll send some pics to the landlord and ask if they feel this is professional work? How could they do that to those bushes? Geeeeeez, I bet it did kill them. I'm wondering how they could of left all that green crap on the siding and walked away thinking it looked good??? MORONS!!!!!! I just have to laugh, otherwise I'd keep getting really pissed about it. If they ever get anything on my car again, they are really going to hear it. Maybe I'll have to set them on fire? *lmao*

NJ- Since you are renting/ leasing I would definitly send these pictures to your landlord (I would also say to your condo association members but I am guessing they already know since they generally live in the condos). I know if I was your landlord and I hired someone to come do this work (or anything else for that matter) and they drastically messed up like these people did I would be sending them a bill for the new plants and installation (of course by someone else who is capable of doing a good job lol)! Also yes the green stuff (I can't think of what it actually is right now, but it is kind of like an outside mold/ mildew type of thing) on the side of the house should definitly be cleaned off.

Chris, I'll be sending the pics to the landlord over the weekend, see what they have to say. That green stuff wasn't on the side of the house before they murdered the bushes. It actually looks like it is green blood from the bushes that they beat into the siding??? (Best way I can explain it).

NJ- Are you sure it wasn't there? It looks like typical side of home gets wet, side doesn't get air flow/ sun to dry it out side gets nasty goop growing on it lol. If they really did make that mess on the house that is even crazier than I thought lol. Yeah, your landlord definitly needs to know about this I think... whether anything will come of it who knows but yeah.

Chris, That green isn't goopy, moldy stuff. Its dry and freshly green (probably doesn't look that green in the pics). It looks like if I took branches off the bushes (before the murder) and grinded them into the side of the house. I have no idea how the heck they managed that but it looks like hell. The rent here isn't cheap, I figure they can well afford to get some professional lawncare people in here since the landlord owns many businesses in the area. Maybe they don't care?? You would think the leasing agent would do at least a driveby once in awhile???

NJ- That's ridiculous.... is the side of the home actually scratched up also? Because if that is the case odds are very good that while they were swinging their cutters like a mad man, they were hitting the home as well....WOW lol. I really don't know what else to say other than make sure you let everyone possible know about these guys and their work, especially the landlord as he may want to see what he can do about getting them to foot the bill to replace the plants. Leasing agents really don't drive by occupied houses as long as the rents paid lol

Chris, I'll check it out tomorrow but YEP, they did it somehow. There was a lot of noise going on the day they did it but I didn't pay much attention. I tell ya, the crap they have done over the last few years is insane. They have been doing the lawns here for at least 3 years. They must be real cheap to hire?? *lol* as often as they are here would lead me to believe this is their only account.

Cindy- I am sure they would grow there, and probably bloom for alot longer then they do here in MI too :D. I have heard from others down there in TX that they can't find them anywhere though. The nursery we get our plants from is local but get shipments in from all over so its hard to say where they are originally from, but they could even be a nursery special as they have some plants they have genetically created/ crossed themselves. Goodluck though and if you find some down there let me know please :)
