Did You Know You Are Going On A Vacation?

Yes, did you know that you are going on a vacation? I have decided to take you along with me on my extended vacation to China. Yup, China!!! No, we won't get to see the Olympics, but we will be in Beijing after the event. I am sure we will be able to catch the tail end of the festivities.

We will get to visit 3 main areas - Guangzhou (the southern province) near Hong Kong, Dalian (a city in North China) very close to Seoul, Korea and of course, Beijing. You will get to see where my roots came from, get to see what I see, eat what I eat, walk where I walk. Remember to subscribe to my blog if you want to piggy back a memorable vacation with me. I promise to give you a China version of Localism. Yup....... Isn't that cool?

So, pack your bags. Be sure you are prepared to be gone for 3 weeks - until after Labor Day weekend.

Oh by the way, your flight from DFW airport to Guangzhou via Seoul will be 14 hours on one leg and another 3 1/2 - 4 hours flight times before we will reach our destination. Be good and don't ask if "we're there yet". I will let you know when we get there. Boomer - the almost 10 month old is tagging along on his first vacation. Be sure to pray for peace for those people who will sit around us. They will need it!

I have just landed in China. Checked in and baby put down to bed. He did great. I will blog again tomorrow ....

PS: I'm 12 hours ahead of you... or there abouts.

Glad to hear you got there safely. Enjoy your trip. We look forward to updates, but don't spend too much time with us. We will survive in the rain.

This is taking "staycation" to a whole new level. Thanks for taking that loonngg flight for me. I don't know if I could sit still for that long. I'll check back for more photos.
