Cell phones are getting smaller and smaller.  And if you're like me, you tend to lose them (under the car seat, in the couch cushions, under the pile of papers on your desk, etc.)

Here's a site that's the answer to your problems:

PhonemyPhone.com!

Go to phonemyphone.com, enter your phone number (Phonemyphone has a privacy agreement stating it will not sell your information) and within a minute or two they will call you allowing you to find your phone!

Of course this only works if you have internet access.

They also have the option of call time and number of times to call.  The ideas for using this are endless...  Remember the days when you had an obligatory date/meeting and you would have a friend call to save you?  Simply set up a time to call on phonemyphone.com!  Of course, I'm not condoning this!

You could also use it as a wake-up call!

What would you use it for?

Hi Toni!  They have a service for everything don't they?  My problem is the times I misplace my phone it just so happens I also have it on vibrate.  Sometimes I can hear and sometimes I can't.

Have a great week!

Excellent tip! My sister-in-law left hers in the chest freezer one day while fishing out some frozen hamburgers. It was "on ice" for weeks before someone found it by chance next time they were looking for something. This would have solved the problem.

I really like the 2nd part of the tool as well.  I am married now but it would have worked for a few dates I have had in the past!

Toni,

I have got to try this!  Is there a way to text the web site?  Every once and a while we have a sales meeting that the speaker falls in love with his/her voice...or maybe for those clients that come in to talk to you face to face, and end up talking/telling you about everything else as well?  :)

This is great, we had not heard of it. We haven't lost them often but what a great thing to remember if we do.

Toni

I will keep the web site for the next time I misplace my cell phone. If that doesn't work the next best thing would be a chain and a cider box

Good luck and success

TONI - Good advice for those that don't have a landline.  I have one that I use to call the phone when this happens.  Problem is that I usually have it on vibrate, so it's a bit tricky to find the buzz.

I lose mine at least twice a day.  Now, if I coud just find my wedding ring, it slipped off somewhere, and it's gone...I'm sick about it!

Toni, this is pretty cool.  This will come in handy so often.  I forgot about the having someone call you as a reminder thing.

I'm such a doofus that I misplace my Supra key! I have such a fear of this that I keep it in my pocket, if I have a pocket, while showing houses. Has anyone else ever misplaced their Supra while showing?

Toni, did you go to LSU? I grew up in New Orleans and live in Katy, TX (suburb of Houston).

Lynn- This seems like it will be very useful to you then!  I'm glad I could help!  Have a great week!

Ann- It seems like they do!  Here's a trick when you've left it on vibrate and can't hear it--- turn off the lights and see if you can see the lights from your phone come on.  It's helped me once or twice when it fell to the bottom of my couch!

Jim- You may get rid of it but it may not be the best idea for your business!!

Bill- I hope you will never have to use it either!  Here's to not losing your phone!

Nancy-  I have done some crazy things with my phone but leaving it in the freezer?  haha!  I'm glad they found it though!

Raleigh- I'm glad you wouldn't have to use the second reason anymore!  But maybe for a boring meeting?

Hollis-  That is a great idea!  That seems like something we could make money off of!

Lou- Good luck with your idea!

Adam- Like I told Ann, the best way I've found to find my phone when it is on vibrate is to turn off the main lights and look for the lights from my cell phone!  Sometimes it works...

Cindy- I guess you will be using this site a lot then!  Too bad they don't have a service to find your wedding ring!  Best of luck to you, I'm sure it will turn up...  It's usually in the oddest places too!

Julie- It happens!  And not just to you!  I actually did not go to LSU, I am not a Baton Rouge native.  However, my assistant attends LSU and my son will be starting his first year at LSU in 2 weeks so we definitely have some Tiger Pride in the office!  Did you attend LSU?

Absolutely went to LSU! I like to say that anybody who ever got any "book learnin' in my family" went to LSU. Mama and Daddy, sibling and cousins galore. Nice to meet you! Oh, btw, I once found my purse in the refrigerator after a night of partying in college--can't believe I told that.

I can keep up with my phone but can't seem to keep my camera handy.  I have left them on airplanes (no one turned it in) and the most recent was at a table out of state.  Thank God I could narrow the location down...even if it did take them almost 3 weeks to send it.  I started to drive back to get it.
