Emarketing Tidbit: Transactional Emails Make POWERFUL Selling Tools

When someone registers on your website or contacts you for more information via email, it's likely that you are using an automated email responder to notify them that their email has been received.

Instead of the expected "Thank you for contacting us"  why not send a POWERFUL message back to your prospect with details of your current promotion, or a special offer for them since they have taken the time to register on your site or request information from you?

Transactional emails provide any business with the perfect power tool since they can add unexpected and added value to your email. 

You may want to use home improvement tips, highlight a feature of your business, provide a gardening tip, spotlight FAQs, showcase a listing, or any number of tidbits related to your industry or product.  Remember to change the content frequently to keep things fresh.

Customers expect to receive an email message back from you when they email you.  By providing them with a special message that adds value to your product or service, you can greatly increase your chance of converting a casual request for information into a bonifide customer or sale.

I don't have any autoresponders currently set up.  Sorry.  I still answer all emails the old fashioned way . . . well, almost.  They go to my Blackberry.   However, that being said, I have finally hired a superstar agent who will start in September and allow me to focus on driving traffic and our marketing efforts.  However, I do have great stuff set up for our clients.  One day in the very near future I will correct our autoresponder.  As I said, I don't really do a whole lot of general real estate, but we are growing in that direction.  Our focus is marketing for builders, developers and the real estate and construction trades.  The general real estate opportunties are usually as a result of that.

Margaret, the superstar has many years of experience on site and most recently worked with a prestigious master planned community for a number of years. This new hire will enable me to step back off of the sales floor for our builder community and just support their sales efforts.  We continue to grow our company by helping others grow theirs through strategic marketing and positioning using many of the ideas I chat about here on the AR network and speak about at national venues.  Of course, there is a whole lot more to it than what I am able to share here in this forum.  

Can't say who the new hire is just yet . . . but expect an announcement at the first of September.  I am still looking for general real estate agents as we are literally allowing that business to walk out the door to other agents.  

I have enjoyed your posts on real estate and look forward to reading more from you on the general real estate side of our industry.  You certainly are a fount of knowledge and have well prepared yourself for your role in the industry through continuing education opportunities.

Actually, you could mention that you have open houses this weekend and provide the details, that you have just staged a home and will be hosting an open house for people to see the before (photos) and after . . . the autorespnder is an excellent way to communicate to your contacts what opportunties you have for them.
