Fee's Jorge! All such scams profit from fee's your expected and enticed into paying again and again. With the loan scam you will undoubtedly be required to send fee's for all types of things. Real loans have fee's, and fake loans have fee's.

The victim will have a loan dangled in front of them for an absurd amount of money. Imagine being told (as they do) that you can borrow as much as you want, for as long as you want, with no credit check!!

So they tell you your approved for a huge amount, then tell you to wire $1,200 for processing in order to receive the money. You wire them the money and POOF!! they are gone. They may even be extra mean and send you a fake check for the loan amount, tell you to deposit that check, and immediately wire thousands more to cover additional fee's due. You deposit the checks, wire more money, and a week later it bounces.

No, these are not real lenders, they merely take your money and run. Here's one I got today:

Dave I'm certainly glad the article was of help to you, that is of course why I post these things. It would be nice if you could add your email exchange to this post so that others can see the way the scam unfolds as they request fee's.

If you had paid the fee's, you would have proven yourself a sucker to them, and there would be many more such request. As I mentioned earlier, you would likely even get a money order for the loan amount. They would tell you to deposit the check, and then send them them additional fees in order to clear the check.

Theres nothing you can do about this scam, as it's no secret to law enforcement. Any efforts they do put into this activity is directed at recovering funds of actual victims. You can visit the site for ECONOMICAL and FINANCIAL CRIMES COMMISSION in Nigeria and read about what efforts are being taken. Theres honestly not a lot done to warn people in the US anymore, because it does seem that no matter how much people are warned, someone still falls for it.

Most of the warnings are now spread via blogs and websites run by private citizens. You may wish to check out ALLREADERS.NET which has an excellent AllScams section. If you place your cursor on the allscams tab, a window will drop down showing the various sections for different types of financial scams.

Well theres a well written scam letter if ever I've seen one.
