INNOCENCE IS PRICELESS

One Sunday morning, the pastor noticed little Alex standing in the foyer of the church staring up at a large plaque. It was covered with names and small American flags mounted on either side of it. The six-year old had been staring at the plaque for some time, so the pastor walked up, stood beside the little boy, and said quietly, 'Good morning Alex.'

'Good morning Pastor,' he replied, still focused on the plaque.  'Pastor, what is this?'

The pastor said, 'Well son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service.'

For a time, soberly, they just stood together, staring at the large plaque.

Finally, little Alex's voice, barely audible and trembling with fear asked, 'Which service, the 8:30 or the 10:45?'

Smile, it is a gift that gives to you and all you encounter!

Hi Sara,

I could just picture the little boy asking that question and what he must have been thinking...  Thanks for sharing and have a great week.  Michael A. Caruso

Sara.  Oh My.  How did the Pastor not laugh when he hear Alex say that?  Out of the mouth of babes, comes sweet innocense.  Thanks for sharing.

That is cute.  I bet the early service has more casualties than the later service...  LOL  couldn't help it!

Sara:  I can just imagine Scooter coming out with something like that at church.  He can be so silly at times.  And I am guessing it was at the early service, too.  More folks were probably asleep... and never knew what hit them.  Innoocence, huh ?  :)

I agree Rob!  There is plenty of opportunity to be grumpy, I thought some light hearted humor would be fun.  Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks Connie
