So here I am in Toronto for the RE/MAX Broker Owner Retreat.  Several days of some top owners and managers sharing their best ideas.  As I sit her in my hotel room reviewing ALL the things that were talked about this week it occurred to me to send out an SOS to each of you and ask the simple question....

  • With all this great technology out there what are you using that is invaluable?
  • What is really helping to build your brand, your business, your reputation?
  • It would be great if you would include links etc for those who read this blog to check out.

I am going to get us started.  First off linkedin.com.  Linkedin is a social networking group.  It is the My space of "Professionals.  By inviting your friends, coworkers colleagues etc you link in with not only them ut everyone in their contact list.  This can be an incredible way to do business with the people trusted by the people you trust.  Yeah read that sentence again. 

Do business with the people trusted by the people YOU trust.  THAT IS POWERFUL ISN'T IT?

Not only that you ask people who you have worked for or with to recommend you.  This is powerful.  Powerful on a global level.  A great place not only to connect and find people to do business with but to find jobs, past clients co workers.  I encourage you to check it out.  Here is the link to my profile - I would love to be linkedin with YOU!

WordPress... the self hosted version.  It is SO flexible it isn't funny.  I use it for my blog platform (outside of A|R), to build property websites, and even as a family scrapbook so my mom can follow along with the adventures of her grandsons.

Well, since Lane already took a self-hosted blog, I'll go with a decent digital camera and Real Estate Shows.  Inexpensive, easy to use and consumers love it.

I have to say I just got an i-phone when they came out and I have found it to be an incredble tool.  Te picture quality is outstanding.  I download podcasts and audiobooks to it.  Everything in one sleek thin package.  Email, calendar and contacts are seamless.  Goodbye, Ipod, PDA and cell hello Iphone - the answer to all.
