This past weekend my husband and I decided to visit a new store in Lincolnton, NC. The store is: Southern Charm Wines. Located in the Anderson Building at the corner of Poplar and Main; 235 East Main Street, Suite D is the physical address.

In as effort to revitalize the downtown Lincolnton area two families from the Maiden area have opened Southern Charm Wines. Kirk and Kim Leonard and Dwight and Carolyn Ramseur are owners of Southern Charm Wines. Dwight Ramseur has been making wines for more than 20 years. The unique shop specializes in wines, gourmet snacks, and handcrafted gifts. They also have a section of supplies for the home wine enthusiast.

Their shop offers 13 different wines and that is expected to grow. So that you know what you are buying wine tasting is available. Bottled wines range from $12.00 to $18.00 per bottle. They have some of the best I have ever tasted. Some of their offerings include peach, blueberry, watermelon, blackberry, and green apple. Their signature wine is a red wine made with black cherry and blackberry juices, and their namesake wine is a Peach Chardonnay. But their blackberry is my favorite. The aroma smells like blackberry pie!

Not only is the shop décor impressive but they carry a good line of North Carolina products in Salem Baking Moravian Cookies, Mingo River Pecans, assorted Ash County Cheeses, and soy candles. Also, a huge assortment of pottery from area potters, wood carved bowls and vases, hand-woven baskets, and hand-painted wineglasses are also available to purchase. Beautiful gift baskets are also available.

Teresa - You hit the nail on the head. I posted a while back about a local wine shop here. They have a great concept - VERY similar to Southern Charm. The key ingredients are there but their decor leaves alot to be desired! Southern Charm Wines on the other hand - what a beautiful shop! It's all in the preserntation, right?

Teresa... Wow.. This store looks so charming. They make their own wine.. Hhhhmmmm. Wish I could try some. The price is very reasonable. Next time I come down to visit my sister in N.C. I'll see about stopping by. How far is Lincolnton from Fayetteville?
