SEO For Blogs and More- Do You Rain On Squidoo?

Active Rain has powerful Google Juice and Squidoo has powerful Google Juice.

Can you imagine the energy and power you can develop though strategically using them both together?

Both are Free and both are easy to set up and contribute to. While Active Rain is a blog platform Squidoo is more like a one page mini website idea which are called lenses. Join Active Rain here.

I found Squidoo before I discovered Active Rain and I was using Squidoo for their Google pull strength. The very first lens I wrote was not even about Real Estate. The great thing about Squidoo is that you can make as many lenses as you like all with many different subjects. Whatever your hobbies are or things you are passionate about fits in the Squidoo environment. For you Seth Godin fans, Squidoo is his brainchild. Join Squidoo here and start your lens!

You can visit other lenses on Squidoo and rate them on a star system. You can also add blurbs which is what you would call a comment on your AR blog. If you list your Squidoo lens in the comments with a link to it, I will go there and rate your lens. You can visit my lenses and I will visit yours.



My very first lens has performed the best of all my lenses. It is called The Teachers Of The Secret There are over 700,000 lenses right now. They are all rated by algorithms which take into consideration many things such as traffic and star ratings. The highest rank overall that my lens has achieved was a #504. I did not pay attention to this baby for a long time like almost a year because I spend all my online time on Actve Rain. Just this past week or two I have been adding a little content here and there and suddenly I began climbing the ranks again. This lens is now #290 in How To and Education and #2993 for overall ranking which is still very good when you look at all the lenses there are.




After I tested the waters with my The Secret lens on Squidoo I added a Wellington Florida Real Estate lens which has also done quite well considering I just this past week or so began spending some time on the lenses I have on Squidoo. What I did that really worked well, was add my Active Rain blog RSS feed and it goes right in our Wellington lens thanks to Bill Gassett for telling me we can add an RSS feed to our lenses. That is now helping this Wellington lens climb up the ranks.



You can see the stats very easy on your lens dashboard to keep track of what tags are working. Your stats will also show you what keywords people searched for and it lets you click on those tags and add them write to your tags. Simple and yet effective.



I also linked to my Active Rain blog and our website inside the lens. You can apply some linking strategies and come up with a game plan to really improve your SEO and make a few friends along the way. A combination of Squidoo and Active Rain builds on your SEO and MORE!
