Throughout my 40+ years in real estate, I've been collecting pictures of some of the more interesting (I'm being polite) homeowner improvements (?), remodeling, and renovation. I'm in the process of scanning many of my pictures and putting them in a private Internet library of mine.

Here's one that I found in College Station, Texas, home of Texas A&M University, many years ago. Several students had been living here, so it was only natural that they be able to share a room for one doing laundry, one showering, and one reading the newspaper:

Laundry renovation

Only in a college town, I suppose.

I'd love to receive pictures that readers might have of interesting renovations they've come across. You can email them to me privately or post them here. Descriptios, year, and city would be great, but sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, so don't feel obligated to provide any identifying information. Thanks for any contributions from my fellow Rainers.

Lol!!  It's true.......only in a college town.  As a former adjuster I spend all day every day looking at houses.  I wish I had saved some of the pictures........and what people had done.  I'd be interested in seeing your completed collection.  Keep us updated.

Oh dear... I guess if you've got a bunch of students in one house, you have to do what you have to do. If I was buying that home I would look at the scene and scratch my head in bewilderment.

I actually had a listing with a similar setup in Philly a few years back. At least you could multi-task in this room.
