Its already August and I'm dreading that summer is almost over.
However don't despair Long Grove has fun activities planned all year round... Where ever your interests lie, there's always something fun for you and your family to do. 
20th Annual Long Grove Art Festival- Aug. 16-17. Shop among a wide variety of original artwork - watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings, jewelry, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, fiber and mixed media. The Long Grove Art Festival is juried and judged with cash awards. You can also enjoy continuous live music and a great variety of food and drink offered throughout the Fest. The event is sponsored by the Kildeer School PTO in Long Grove.

By the way, as most of you know I love art fairs and probably will be spotted sometime on Saturday at this event. However on Sunday, come visit me at my beautiful listing in Long Grove at 4957 Trillium Trail This wonderful house in Prairie Trails will be open from 1-4.
Irish Days - Held on Labor Day weekend at Fountain Square in Long Grove's Historic Village, Long Grove Irish Days features Irish dancing, music,kilt contest and more. Irish Days is sponsored by Paddy's on the Square and The Irish Boutique. Live performances throughout the three days include well- known Irish musicians and dance performances from area Irish dance schools. Highlights of the three day festival also include the "Best Legs in a Kilt Contest" at 6:20 each evening. Winners will take home a trophy and bragging rights. Enjoy plenty of food and drink, visit Irish cultural tents, the Wee Ones activity area and choose from among the biggest collection of Irish music in the U.S.
The 11th Annual Long Grove Rotary Club Heritage 5k Run/3k Walk - Saturday, Sept. 6. The Annual 5K Fun Run and 3K Walk follows some of the prettiest country roads in Illinois. The goal is to raise funds for the club's charitable fund and local charities that do not have resources to organize a fundraiser while providing a fun event for families and the QUESTIONS? Contact the Long Grove Visitor's Center at (847) 634-0888. A pancake breakfast follows the event from 8:30-11 am. Fee is per runner. Parking is free.
Judy, I probably told you this already, but like yourself I love art fairs. Since you are busy with the house Sunday but will be there Saturday, your presence alone should have the entire town of Long Grove on premises to mingle with you. Have a great time. Wish I could be there with you to enjoy it. It really sounds like a lot of fun.
