Freedom --- It's Why We Succeed - A lesson from the Olympians

I couldn't help but sit there last night in amazement. Yes the gymnastics girls did not bring home the gold, but their effort was valiant and they will live to fight another day.

I think if you saw team China you would know that these girls except for one is not a day over 14, but they are able to play because China provided the Olympic committee with passports saying they were 16. Neither team was flawless and the Americans obviously made more mistakes, but those girls wanted to win, not because someone told them they had to at the age of 3 (The Chinese girls are plucked out of their homes at 3 years old and begin Olympian training), but because they made a cA local farm in Delaware showing their pride. hoice a long time ago to be the world's best.

I guess I am saying that I will take a silver medal from a hard working team that choosesto be the best, and one that doesn't cheat over the alternative any day. Once again, when you put America up against the "new" world superpower... I couldn't be more proud to say I am an American.

God Bless America and all the athletes that have made us proud!

OMG I about fell out last night when they were telling the story of one of those Chinese girls that would beg her parents to let her come home!!! I guess I am far too selfish to hand my babies over to the government? I couldn't imagine and to have them beg to come home-I don't think so! I don't think there is anything wrong with the girls coming home with a silver-they did a great job- I do think that the scoring was a little out of whack tho.
